A beautiful setting: a room, on one side many very artistic chickens and on the other faces created by a single stroke. In this warm and family atmosphere, I start with homemade gnocchi topped with truffle, followed by sausage with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes. When cooking combines with passion, it always wins!

The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming, right from the moment they introduced themselves. The place is truly a jewel, just like the mise en place. The dishes perfectly reflect the setting and the staff: beautiful, delicious, sincere, and anything but ordinary. My sincere compliments to the entire staff.

Enchanting location, delicious food, extremely friendly service. We had truffle gnocchi and grandma's meatballs, truly delicious. Coffee served with a moka pot (just like at home) and homemade liqueurs (the olive leaf and gentian ones with chili pepper and orange zest are extraordinary). We'll definitely be back!

But what can I say? What can I add that hasn't already been written by others? A Top Reviewer who's at a loss for words... oh no, right... I'm the Top Reviewer on Rome, and I'll talk about Romanness. Yes, because here you eat as well as in Umbria but you feel as good as in Rome... because it is from a Roman woman's love for Umbria that this place was born a few years ago... legend has it that a wealthy lady, an expert and seasoned restaurateur from Campo de' Fiori, was enchanted by this village and left her job in the wealthy capital to come and open a chicken coop here and enjoy the quiet and country life... but perhaps she wasn't all that satisfied... and walking through this splendid alley where the name "belvedere" refers to the breathtaking view you can admire, she finds an old stable... closed... empty... and then her nature awakens and she realizes she can return to the restaurant business and do it in the place that changed her life... and so she closes the chicken coop, frees the hens and frees herself too... creating a place where if you don't book you risk not finding room, so well-known, appreciated and loved is it. This love is cultivated to perfection by that "differently young" couple who welcome you today and immediately make you feel part of a project, a life journey in which they have invested their energy, their dreams, and even their experiences, having found the right balance between the ingredients that distinguish cooking from making food. One from southern Rome, one from northern Rome (Flaminia, like the road whose oldest traces are in these parts), it must have been this magical intersection that determined the success of this little restaurant, and whatever you decide to eat, whatever you decide to drink, here everything is exquisite, cooked and served with love. Yes, of course, the place plays its part... small, intimate, with every detail carefully thought out and that art of sprucing up and setting up that is a bit vintage, a bit sustainable, but which we, who know who Anticaglia and Petrella are, really appreciate... but it's what you eat that will make the difference, seasoned with the care taken in serving and presenting it, and even more so in explaining it. People don't come here for advertising, but by word of mouth... and even those who were very active on social media probably won't even read this review... and in fact, they won't need to... and that's fine. You who are reading this should know that I stumbled upon it by chance (it's called serendipity, and it's surprised me many times in my life, editor's note) and I would return with my eyes closed, I had such a great time. It's located under the alley that leads to the parking elevators, after a couple of famous restaurants that are supposed to act as a sort of sieve, and in a spot not visible from above... and yet many people come here. I won't add anything else and I hope this has been helpful... just a tip: the fennel caponata is patented and you can't miss it, trust me... have I convinced you? If so, leave a like and check out the other reviews on Narni and especially on Rome, but not only.

A lovely, friendly place. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was truly delicious! We tried the Manfricoli carbonara and the wild boar ragù, both excellent! The gnocchi were delicious with truffles, the puntarelle were well-seasoned, and the tartare was delicate and very tender. The house wine was also good. The coffee was made using the characteristic moka pot.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long, long time, and today I finally did. AMAZING! The cuisine here is a continuous flow of flavors and emotions, starting with the texture of the ingredients used and culminating in the perfection of the first bite. The service is characterized by an above-average level of preparation, professionalism, kindness, courtesy, and above all, a great deal of friendliness! This is an incredibly welcoming place, full of love, purity, and genuine feelings that tell the story of Umbrian and Roman food and wine. Dishes rich in flavors that linger on the palate, but above all, in the soul and heart, filling the voids with intense emotions. Dishes that fully respect the flavors of the raw ingredients, which are enhanced by a combination of perfectly balanced elements. Flavors that evoke aromas that bring to mind places and the magic of certain dishes are the experience I love when evaluating a restaurant. Here, EVERY dish is executed to perfection, and this gives a clear idea of ​​the level of quality you can experience in this temple of excellence. But...Ladies and gentlemen, two dishes deserve special mention: One is the carbonara. It is something transcendental, beyond any culinary canon. It is very likely one of the top five I've ever tasted in my life. There's no need to describe the dish; you MUST try it. The other dish is an appetizer: buffalo mozzarella from Campania with béchamel cream and black truffle. This dish is absolutely addictive...ABUSE IT WITHOUT LIMITS! Everything in this restaurant is a perfect symposium of flavors and aromas that inebriate the senses, the heart, and the soul. The incredible balance of each dish is further enhanced by the spectacular skill of those who use their talent in the kitchen. Every dish that landed on the table was a culmination of flavor. The pasta, strictly homemade, had a perfect consistency, cooked to perfection. The red wine was excellent. Delicate, fresh, firm, and with a persistent depth on the palate and a decisive finish, it pushes all the flavors with every bite, blending perfectly with the ingredients. In the glass, it strikes with its intense and vibrant color. On the nose, the aromas of red fruits and hints of woodland inebriate the senses. What can I say...I'll be back to try more dishes. Kudos to this wonderful place and to its creators who, with passion, love, and skill, manage to make everyone who decides to enter their delightful little restaurant happy. 02/11/2025: I've dined at this restaurant several times, and each time it's proven to be an excellent choice, both for the quality of the food and the excellent service. I recommend the supplì with chestnuts and pecorino cheese, a true autumnal treat! The pizza is delicious and light, leaving plenty of room for dessert, the impeccable chestnut mousse!! See you soon!
02/11/2025: Semiramide has become a go-to place for us. The pizza (strictly made with sourdough) is excellent. The grilled meat is authentic, and the pasta dishes are fresh and handmade to order. The dessert is a treat that doesn't weigh you down but is a perfect end to the meal. The place is intimate, cozy, and attentive, as is the service.
