LA GALERA In Correggio

One beautiful summer evening my partner and I decide to go out to eat outdoors so we book a table for 9.30pm outside. Arriving a little late at 9.45pm we sit down and after a few minutes we order dinner: two starters and two second courses and 2 beers. After about ten minutes the beers arrive, but there was a much longer wait for the starters. The latter arrived almost an hour after our arrival. The wait was so long that it wore off my appetite. With the arrival of the appetizers, the bread also arrived, which made more sense to bring it immediately to satisfy the appetite while waiting. I was a little disappointed by the starters, The “croutons” ultimately turned out to be toast bread with condiments on top. Good, but they are not crostini. Personally I saw him as a bit distracted The latter saved the situation slightly but my appetite had already worn off a while ago and I had everything put away in a Doggybag. There is a lot of room for improvement, the place deserves it and the kitchen too with a few small adjustments. I recommend finding a way to shorten the waiting time, as I find waiting so long just for the starters excessive.

Le galere, localino polivalente nel cuore dello storico borgo di Correggio. Ristopub informale, ma con l'arrivo della nuova gestione, un'ottimo cambio verso la qualità. Buona carta dei vini, ottimi taglieri e qualche piatto cucinato. Presenti tavoli all'aperto ed una intrigante location all'interno con pietra vista .

Everything as I expected, certainly atmospheric, excellent dishes prepared by Filippo the young chef, here, perhaps a little more light, without losing the charm of the dim light... Well done and recommended!

Historic venue in Correggio that offers a unique historical setting, given that the venue develops inside and around the medieval prisons... You also drink and eat well and the playful atmosphere is guaranteed by the true rocker from Correggio who recently took over the management... Belin Taver, in the end they managed to put you in jail!!🤣😂🤣

Nuova gestione PAZZESCA. La carne è buonissima, i prodotti di altissima qualità, abbiamo passato una serata piacevole in famiglia. Locale intimo e ben curato. CONSIGLIO! Alla prossima

Nice place, visually above all, the furnishings and structure of the place were much appreciated. The food is normal, not bad but not special either, average for a pub. I don't know about the service, the staff seemed very agitated even though it wasn't all super full. They forgot some things we asked for and in general they weren't too kind..
