La Galea In Amalfi

Ate here twice while staying in Amalfi. Great food and service both times.

Slightly pricey (probably because it’s a tourist spot) but the food is really delicious.

We had a family reunion returning home after 44 years of a time and family members who never return. I ran on foot through the alleys, meeting VIPs, Italian and foreign heads of state, this was my Amalfi Coast and this place, together with the Tarì, belongs to those memories, where the prices for us were very high. Today, 6 of us stopped and took 6 pizzas and a bottle of water. Total €116. Good pizza and courtesy, high prices as they once were, this is the Amalfi Coast.

We also came to this restaurant last year to eat during our visit to Amalfi and we returned again this year. Very nice place and welcoming staff. The scialatielli alla pescatora and the paccheri di Gragnano are delicious.

One of the few restaurants on the main Amalfi street that was opened for lunch during winter, on a cold rained out day. The food was OK. we ate mostly seafood.

Great service , Delicious Seafood Pasta and homemade Tiramisu was so Good

Everything is very delicious, we also travel with our dog and the place is pet-friendly. Very good experience.

My husband, two friends, and I dined here last week. Since we were in the Amalfi coast, I decided to try the ricotta ravioli with the lemon zest (Ravioli allo Sfusato Amalfitano). It was so good! The zest was thinly sliced; and the dish came with Datterini tomatoes ("little dates"), small shrimp, and arugula. Lots of great flavor and not heavy at all. My husband had the side dish of eggplant parmesan; and our friends shared a pizza. All very good. My husband and I shared a half liter of white wine. Their menu is pretty extensive. Service was good. They were busy! The place filled up shortly after our arrival and when we left there was a line at the door. They do have a 2 euro per person cover charge, which is typical in Italy. Overall, a great lunch!
