Everything perfect. Beautiful, unique place with various items. Excellent welcome and good choice on the menu. Excellent first courses and appetizers... unfortunately, you can't have the second course given the large portions. Excellent wine and good bill. Trio of first courses 13.50. Fast and pleasant service.

Positive experience
We had two first courses: tortelloni (only two each, but huge) and gnocchi.
The tortellini were very good, and the gnocchi were average.
The mixed grill was good, and the gnocco fritto with cured meats was average.
The panna cotta and mascarpone with Barozzi cake were very good.
The price was about €35 per person, which I'd say was fair.
It's a shame it's so far from Bologna, but I'll be back for the onion soup, which they only make in winter.
The staff was efficient and very friendly.

It's been years since I've been back to La Fontanina. The owner is the same, very helpful, as is her daughter, the waitress. She's so sweet! What can I say? The traditional food is excellent, but they also serve venison, wild boar, and more. The atmosphere is truly charming.

Historic traditional restaurant. Warm welcome and delicious homemade food.
Tortelli with butter and sage were enormous and truly inviting; gnocco was delicious, light and not greasy; good cured meats; and very good grilled and sliced meats. Tigelle were filled, slightly heavy but good. The price was fair. The waitress and family-run management were very helpful.

Good place for gnocco and tigelle in Modena style, large space, good service, average price. I've heard good things about the first courses but I haven't had the chance to try them, I'll be back
