La Cuvé In Pistoia

A welcoming square in the center of Pistoia. Plenty of places to eat.

This ancient square is located in the historic center of Pistoia, in a characteristic area dating back to the 15th century. It was once a slaughterhouse and is now a fruit and vegetable market, surrounded by many bars, restaurants, and cafés. In the morning, people stroll through the market to shop, and in the evening it fills with tourists and young people. A truly characteristic and interesting part of the city, definitely worth a visit!

Pistoia is a nice little town. Three hours is enough. We took a break and had a drink at Pizza Della Sala.

A very pleasant little square, it fills up very quickly in the evening.

A very pretty square. In the center is the classic well (also called the "Pozzo del Leoncino"), a characteristic feature of this square. It's surrounded by bars and restaurants, and I'm sure it's lovely at night too. The little lion on top and the lily carved in stone just below it were made in 1529 to commemorate Florence's definitive rule over Pistoia. As a Florentine, I was happy to see them, hahaha... Jokes aside, it's definitely worth a visit!

A must see. Beautiful buildings and Duomo.
