Wandering around Ferrara's city center, we found this excellent Osteria.
We chose a platter of various cured meats and a pumpkin flan, followed by bread and slices of warm piadina.
Sweet and delicate pumpkin cappellacci.
Attentive and friendly staff.
Highly recommended.

A true Osteria, one of those places where you feel at home, where you eat excellent food and encounter friendly people (something not easy to find these days). The owners are incredibly friendly and always make sure everything runs smoothly. There's light musical entertainment with Frisko (if I remember correctly) playing guitar, and above all, the best cappellacci di zucca in all of Ferrara.
We'll be back.

Siamo stati a cena presso l’osteria La Compagnia una sera di fine aprile e l’esperienza si è rivelata piacevole sia per l’ambiente caldo ed accogliente e il personale molto simpatico, oltre che per la cucina tipica ben eseguita che viene proposta. Personalmente ho molto apprezzato il flan di zucca e l’assaggio dei cappellacci al ragù e degli strozzapreti. Servizio molto efficiente e tempi di attesa adeguati tra una portata e l’altra. Il conto mi è sembrato onesto. Locale consigliato per una cena tipica e informale.

Pranzo di Pasqua in questo caratteristico ristorante di Ferrara in occasione di una breve vacanza con agenzia da Genova. Accoglienza cordiale e professionale da parte di tutto lo staff con brindisi di benvenuto (simpaticissimo Frisco!). Antipasto con salumi tipici come la famosa zia ferrarese; per mia moglie vegetariana trattamento speciale con un ottimo flan di zucca, fonduta al grana padano e aceto balsamico molto apprezzato. Risotto alla zucca e lasagna ferrarese di ottima fattura. Un buon dessert per finire, vino della casa accettabile e tanta voglia di tornare.
