La Cicala In Maranello

We had dinner at Cicala on a Tuesday evening in July. As soon as we arrived, we were asked if we wanted water, and it was brought to us immediately. However, they didn't serve us the welcome plate with some appetizers, which they instead served to all the other tables along with water. The waitress came to take our orders shortly afterward. We ordered three first courses, followed by gnocco and tigelle. After a good half hour, the first courses arrived. The portions were medium-small for the price, but the quality was quite good. After clearing the first courses, another half hour later, the gnocco and tigelle with cured meats arrived, which were of good quality. Overall, the waiters were always very friendly and helpful. The bill was steep. We spent €110 for three of us, ordering three first courses for €16 each, gnocco and tigelle for two (€16 x 2 = €32), two bottles of water, and a Coke. We weren't 100% satisfied.

A hilltop restaurant with a beautiful view. I went there for my girlfriend's anniversary, and the little room they gave us was perfect for a couples' dinner. The food was really good; with a first course each and a grilled meat for a second course, we were incredibly full. Plus, their homemade pulled gnocchi was out of this world! Plus, the price was quite reasonable. The service was also truly excellent; in our case, the waitress was excellent and friendly!

wonderful view at sunset, the rest........ food nothing special, I leave aside my thoughts about the indigestible gnocco strappato which is their registered trademark 😂 . on the site menu without prices, which are not cheap. kindness? historical lows probably suitable for instagram obsessed.

A place just outside Modena with a terrace on the valley floor. Spectacular at sunset. Very well-kept place and always courteous and attentive staff. Delicious food and excellent wine. Definitely worth returning to. I recommend it to everyone

The La Cicala Restaurant is an elegant place with a very beautiful terrace to observe an enchanting panorama... good food, a good welcome and kind and discreet staff... the only flaw was not having received a paper menu and consequently not having had the possibility to choose freely!!!

It is always a pleasure to return to La Cicala, the romantic atmosphere with the breathtaking view and a beautiful sunset. Obviously, however, it is a little less pleasant to pay more than you expect. As happened to us, too bad we had checked the receipt too late. First of all, they had asked us if we wanted some Balsamic Vinegar with the appetizer without announcing its price and without it being written on the menu. Instead, these 4-5 drops cost us 5 euros (Balsamic Vinegar presented as extra old, not bottled by the consortium and therefore not certified); Lagrein that we had ordered, on the menu cost 20 euros, but they made us pay 27; and finally a simple coffee cost us 2.50 euros; yes, they had given us a few euros of discount, but to make a good impression, it is always better to be honest.
