La Cecchina is a place where you eat well and spend some of your time relaxing in an informal but at the same time authentic and attention to detail environment. I have known it and I have always gladly returned for more than 12 years. The proposal is always varied between traditional and revisited dishes of Puglia. Monica, the boss, is sweet and helpful along with all her staff. The outdoor patio on the old square of Bari in the summer is nice and functional but I would recommend not filling it with too many tables otherwise it becomes unlivable. The ‘Mpepata di cozze (rich, abundant and good) deserves a 10. I really enjoyed the fish cooked in salt. I recommend it with my eyes closed even if it often passes for a typical “tourist” restaurant

We made reservations with thefork.it, but we still ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a table. The service was excellent and the suggested wine was very good. The mussels and pasta I had were excellent, but some others in the party were a bit disappointed in their food.

If you are in Bari and want to taste excellent fish and traditional dishes I highly recommend this restaurant, dishes prepared with care and excellent table service. A truly beautiful experience. Book in advance.

Locale carino ed accogliente con personale garbato e professionale Abbiamo mangiato un ottimo antipasto abbondantissimo di salumi e formaggi di grande qualità e due orecchiette con le rape molto buone,forse un pochino troppo condite per i nostri gusti Sorbetto e dolcetti offerti Pane squisito caldo e croccante 50€

The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and authentically Italian — the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. The menu offered a fantastic variety of traditional dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I especially loved the handmade pasta and the rich, flavorful sauces. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of genuine Italian taste. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The staff took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. If you’re looking for a cozy place with delicious Italian food, great wine, and a true sense of hospitality, I highly recommend this osteria. It’s a hidden gem that I’ll definitely be returning to!

Il Mulino Da Ferdinando

17/02/2025: Abbiamo pranzato con amici in questo caratteristico Ristorante Pizzeria, a Sannicandro. Un locale molto accogliente, con tavoli in legno, mura e archi in pietra, conosciuto in zona per le  buone pizze e per un menù caratterizzato da prodotti del loro orto. La pizza non abbiamo potuto provarla, perché la fanno solo di sera, ma Il pranzo è stato una piacevolissima scoperta. Squisito e ricco di  pietanze tutte degne di encomio!! Un antipasto molto particolare, sontuoso, abbondante e assai vario (assolutamente da provare), accompagnato dal ciccio; primi piatti, tutti molto buoni e secondi di carne di alta qualità. E per finire una carrellata di dolci davvero deliziosi. Ci siamo complimentati con lo chef per l'abilità e passione chel mette nella preparazione dei piatti e nella cura per la loro presentazione. Il livello qualitativo delle materie prime utilizzate è davvero alto e la loro combinazione è assai interessante. Una cucina che valorizza la tradizione contadina, ma che la reinterpreta con sapienti accorgimenti che ne esaltano sapori e odori. Nulla di stravagante ma tutto ben equilibrato e saporito. Da ritornarci sicuramente.
17/10/2024: Locale familiare e atmosfera piacevole. Ottima la qualità della materia prima e buona la pizza. Buono anche il rapporto qualità prezzo.
