La Castellana In Castello d'agogna

I often go there for lunch, it has a business menu and it is truly a quality inn. The dishes are refined and the quantity is excellent, the staff is very helpful and friendly. I ate there very often and it remains the best in the area, there is no competition. It is also a hotel, so with the possibility of booking rooms, seeing the care of the restaurant I have no doubt that the room service will be equally up to par.

Here you eat very well and are welcomed. The inn's platter is tasty and delicious with local cured meats, cheeses and vegetables. Elephant ear is a thin cutlet, very very large and crunchy! It's very important to have two to share it! It's so good that I always focus on that one, even if I plan to try the other dishes I see passing by: they look tasty and the portions are generous. Plus the price is absolutely interesting for the quality of the lunch.

I have to give a rating only if you have dishes, since I didn't stay there. I still give 3 stars but, the hare still had a wild flavor and certainly accompanying it with herbs can only enhance this aspect. The poor mixed starter, nothing special, two fried things (because fried is everything better), the fassona carpaccio, had to be cut thinly and not into raw pieces, but sold well, saying that it had been smoked, an aspect that was absolutely not noticed both in terms of taste and smell. Let's say that it is a place that can be considered a simple trattoria like those around the house, rather than a real restaurant.

The restaurant offers excellent dishes with typical local products. The environment is simple but elegant and well cared for. Prices are average, unquestionable value for money.

Review only on the restaurant. We were there for Christmas lunch with some relatives and for a Sunday lunch with the family. I must say that we were all pleasantly surprised by the welcome, the professionalism and the enthusiasm with which all the staff do their utmost for a job that has always been a passion. We have been friends and fellow villagers for a long time and we feel great respect for those like them who demonstrate willpower and refinement which we find in every dish enjoyed on these occasions. I invite everyone to try their cuisine, authentic to the territory. More than generous portions and maximum attention to customer needs. Thanks to all of you and see you soon!

We stayed for one night, clean and quiet room, comfortable mattress. We also had dinner, what can I say, an excellent dinner, a spectacular appetizer and the risotto, the best we have ever eaten.
