I went there after hearing about it from a local friend. I think it's a place that not many tourists visit. I was blown away by the fantastic food. From the first glass of wine to the final dessert, it was delicious. I'll never forget the first salad.

Good food but wouldn't try it again. Food was good but nothing out of this world. Some of the portions were too small for the price and we found the wines offered more expensive than other restaurants we visited. Other than that, the place and service was great. It looks smaller than it actually is and they change the menu daily.

We went to dinner at this restaurant this evening on the recommendation of a colleague who has been there often. The most positive aspect is definitely the efficiency and speed of the service, with absolutely professional and very knowledgeable waiters. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. We had the artichoke and parmesan salad, then ravioli with butter and sage, roast potatoes, and two desserts. On the downside, the price, in my opinion, was a bit high.

We ate here twice because the food was just that good. It is one of those restaurants that usually gathers a line of customers at the door just before opening, and continues to attract many customers throughout the afternoon or evening. So make sure to come shortly after opening to get a seat quickly! All of their pastas are fresh and delicious and packed with plenty of flavour. The service is incredibly fast, helpful, and friendly.

Trattoria I' Pepolino

20/01/2026: Very friendly, super competitive prices, quick service. It's a bit risky to find a seat right away, but it's a sign that the place is well-liked.
20/12/2025: I didn't give the ambiance its best rating only because it's a bit noisy for me, as I have some hearing problems. Unfortunately, there's only so much space... For a small trattoria where you eat well and spend a fair amount, you can overlook a few minor inconveniences ;-) The people who welcomed us were extremely kind, attentive, and helpful; and human warmth makes everything better. The menu offers a good selection of traditional dishes; the fresh pasta dishes were very satisfying. The tagliata was excellent; we asked for a customization for the pork loin (addition of dried tomatoes and caramelized onion), which was prepared without any problems and we loved it. Some desserts were sold out, but even the remaining ones were good. A very honest account; these days, it helps me come back more often... it's a shame I live in Montecatini, but I'm happy to come here whenever I get around.
