La Cantinetta trattoria-pizzeria In Terlizzi

Loved it here, even returned again while we were in Florence. Most other places felt like a tourist trap or service was quite poor/rude. Really loved the friendly atmosphere, and we had a quality meal here on both occasions.

This place is a gem. After getting completely burned at Caffe Academia suffering from extremely poor service, poor quality and taste of food, this place is a little slice of heaven. First, Altin was one of if not the best waiter in Italy on our visit. He has a very calming effect and explained our questions very thoroughly with grace. We decided on a huge steak florentine for four. He told us the best temperature to order it and he was correct. It was absolutely delicious and came with roasted potatoes that were very good. We had caprese salad and even though the tomatoes could have been a little riper it was still tasty. There was no room for dessert as we were all full. This place oozes class, respect, and customer satisfaction. There is a reason why it has an overall rating of 4.6. Yes, I got the normal reply from Cafe Academia about how everyone has different tastes and expectations. Just so you understand, that I am not exaggerating check out Academia’s reviews. 1 after 1 after 1. GO TO LA CANTINETTA AND ASK FOR ALTIN!!

Delicious pasta and octopus salad. I think seafood pasta would be more appropriate for Korean tastes.

Value for $$- Florentine steak and seafood spaghetti are sumptuous!

You must try seafood pasta and T bone. House wine is as good as other wine. Staff are wonderful.

The amount of tuna in salad never leaves you hungry. You can not eat other salad ingredients because only tuna is enough. But if there were tastier tomatoes, I would eat them too. The lasagna wasn't bad, but I've eaten better. The service was good and fast.

Was craving seafood in Florence and found this restaurant. Wasn't sure what to expect but I ordered the scoglio and the quality was excellent. The crab even had roe 🦀 Can't comment on other dishes but this one was 5⭐ Service was polite and to the point.

Great restaurant with exceptional dishes, special mention for the service and friendliness of the staff!! We will come back!
