Had Christmas dinner in the setting, with courteous and prompt service. The appetizers were excellent, the first courses unbalanced (gorgonzola was far too spicy and the Norcina-style sedanini lacked kick). The second courses were good, although the sliced steak was perhaps a bit overcooked. Considering the undoubtedly chaotic and busy day, my overall rating is more than positive.

If you want Tuscan food with a view of the Chianti region, this restaurant is perfect. We had lunch with a mixed antipasto and an excellent Florentine steak, all truly excellent. With a Chianti Classico from nearby Poggio al Sole, we paid €60.

A marvellous experience overall, the food was absolutely divine and the service phenomenal. Scenery unmatched and the ambiance couldn’t be made up in a movie. We did have a slight adrenaline rush getting there due to the rocky roads but turned out to be worth it!

Cantinetta di Rignana never disappoints. The primi are outstanding — rich, perfectly balanced, and genuinely memorable. The antipasto is exactly what you hope for in Chianti: generous, fresh, and full of flavour.
The wine list is spot-on and pairs beautifully with everything on the table. Dessert was the perfect finale: a top-tier tiramisù and a fantastic torta cioccolato e pere that was warm, soft, and ridiculously good.
Hidden in a stunning setting, with food that’s worth the trip every single time. Highly recommended.

Stopped here as part of a wine tour. The property is absolutely gorgeous looking out over the rolling hills of Tuscany. We tried several wines and olive oil all which were delightful. Lunch was preset with a sampling of bruschett with liver pate, tomatoes, porcini mushrooms, and lardo to start. The main course was ravioli with truffle sauce and pappardelle with wild boar meat. All of it was delicious. However you get here you won't be disappointed.
