You immediately feel welcome, everyone is super friendly, really genuine and not fake. The food is super good like Nonna's (Grandma's) and you'll definitely be full. The panna cotta at the end was sensational. We'll be back.

La Cantinetta del Nonno in San Casciano is one of those places that remain in your heart. We are not talking about just any restaurant, but about an authentic, simple and warm tavern, where what makes the difference are above all the wonderful people who run it.
From the first moment we felt welcomed like old friends: sincere smiles, jokes, advice on the menu given with true passion. It's clear that those who work here put their heart and soul into it, and you can perceive it in every little detail, from the attentive but never invasive service, to the care with which each course is described.
The food? A true explosion of Tuscany. Genuine, tasty dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and lots of love. You eat very well, yes, but above all you have an experience. Between a laugh and a glass of wine, it's like finding yourself at the table with old friends.
A place like this is not easily forgotten: at Cantinetta del Nonno you eat, you laugh, you feel at home. And you immediately want to return.

Mandatory pit stop in the Chianti! You will feel like you are at your grandparents' house (with more tables than usual). Quick, kind and attentive service and quality, typical food at a more than honest price!!

We came without reservation and were lucky to get a table. The stuff is really nice and complement a cozy atmosphere here. We also liked our food - pasta with black truffles, and appreciated the portion size.
Regarding the parking: it’s hard to find something close, so we parked on a public parking spot, which is 10 mins walk away from the restaurant.

100% recommended place, local and with a special charm. The wild boar ragout was incredible and the tiramisu too!! It is well worth stopping along the way. We recommend paying in cash (they give a small discount). We will return 😍
