La Cantina In Spello

What a gem in the heart of Spello! The restaurant is set inside a rustic stone cellar with beautiful arches that immediately catch your eye – it feels like dining inside history. The unique ceramics from Domiziani, which you can also find in their shop just a few steps away, add an extra touch of character and colour to the tables. The staff could not have been nicer – warm, attentive, and with great recommendations. They suggested a wonderful local wine that paired perfectly with our meal. The food was absolutely outstanding, each dish somehow better than the last. We started with a sformatino di patate e porcini with Reggiano fondue and black truffle – rich and elegant. Then came the pappardelle al cinghiale, hearty and perfectly balanced. For the main, a grigliata mista that was full of flavour. And to finish, tozzetti with Sagrantino passito, the sweetest ending. Everything was so delicious that we ordered the same dish for each course rather than share – that says it all! 😂 A truly memorable experience – both for the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re in Spello.

Excellent, quaint atmosphere in the center of Spello, with attentive and professional service. The menu is extensive and typical of the area. The grilled meats and cheeses are spectacular, as is the flan. Excellent value. In short: at Spello's winery, you eat with your mouth and your eyes. Highly recommended.

A very beautiful and welcoming place, with stone walls, brick arches, and rustic details that create a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The service is kind and attentive. The food is good, with well-prepared traditional Umbrian dishes: nothing elaborate, but tasty and average. Prices are reasonable and affordable, in line with the quality offered. A recommended place if you want to eat well in a typical and characteristic Spello setting.

In Spello, you must stop at "La Cantina di Spello," a splendid traditional Umbrian restaurant. Friendly staff, a quaint atmosphere, and high-quality produce sourced from local farms. The appetizers and first courses are intensely flavorful, but the meat is the real highlight. Excellent wine selection. Highly recommended.

Siamo a Spello, centro storico. Entrare nella " Cantina", è come entrare nella macchina del tempo. Entri nella storia, e non vorresti mai uscirne. Nonostante il livello, ti fanno sentire a casa , e anche questo fa la differenza. Si inizia con una pappardella al cinghiale e un tris più pecorino, accompagnato con miele e confettura. A seguire due tagliate di manzo chianina, con patate arrosto. Il tutto accompagnato da un notevole sagrantino. Che dire...il livello è alto. Qualità dei prodotti e cucina da applausi. Il servizio cordiale e attento. Una serata da ricordare.
