A small bistro style restaurant in the living quarter slightly further away from the main tourist center, run by a friendly couple with cosy family atmosphere. Their menu features local ingredients, each dish freshly made and really tasty, wine pairing list not huge but quite decent. Just ask the owners for any question or recommendation, you'll be nicely surprised! If I go to Pisa again, I'd totally revisit this place.

A simple, spartan place. Interesting menu; authentic, traditional Italian cuisine. We ordered fresh baked pasta with tomato sauce, fresh pasta with 'nduja, guanciale, and smoked scamorza (very spicy), and the "tasca dell'ortolano" (vegetarian pocket) and dessert. We were very satisfied.

There are 2 unmissable things to do in Pisa - see the tower and go to this place!!!! Such a hidden gem. A great spot for lunch, amazing atmosphere, and such welcoming owners. The food was incredible and some of the best we have had in Italy. Highly recommend!!

Il Boschetto Di Chianni

12/12/2025: We are so lucky to have our home a few doors away from Il Boschetto. Bianca and her team are 1st class, as is the restaurant, the food and wine. For anyone visiting chianni, I strongly recommend that you go there one evening. You will go back, I promise Gary, Les and famiglia
