We got a pre-ordered menu for a group for €40. But weren't impressed at all. Neither from the food nor from the wine (table wine), although there are good wines on offer there.

Good place for lunch. I had pasta with sausage ragu. Portion size was just right for lunch. Limited dessert selection but the chocolate almond cake really good.

Perfect evening, welcome in an old-fashioned tavern, Calabrian dishes, dishes based on self-produced nduja, kind owner willing to recommend the best courses. A must try if you are in town. Excellent value for money. Must try.

La Cantina Cosentina è senza dubbio una delle migliori trattorie dove gustare la vera cucina tipica cosentina. Ogni piatto proposto rispecchia fedelmente la tradizione gastronomica locale, regalando sapori autentici e genuini. La qualità dei prodotti utilizzati è eccellente, a conferma di una grande attenzione per la materia prima. Durante l’estate, l’esperienza si arricchisce ulteriormente grazie alla possibilità di cenare all’aperto, godendo di una vista incantevole che affaccia su uno scorcio suggestivo della città di Cosenza. Un’atmosfera unica che rende la serata ancora più speciale. Infine, il proprietario è di una gentilezza rara, sempre disponibile a far sentire i clienti come a casa e a consigliare le migliori specialità del giorno. Un luogo imperdibile per chi desidera vivere un’esperienza culinaria autentica e di alta qualità.

04/06/2025: Warm, Welcoming & Delicious We stopped by Kamastra Ristorante for lunch and were blown away by the hospitality. Roberta made us feel so welcome—it was like visiting family. The food was fresh and full of flavour—simple, honest, and absolutely delicious. Great wine, lovely service, and a cosy, local vibe that’s hard to find. A real gem we’ll definitely be coming back to.

27/04/2025: Francesca and Giovanni are two exceptional guys in their field. Eating in their Osteria Pop is an experience to be had and repeated whenever possible because it is always satisfying and never repetitive (the menu changes periodically and based on seasonality). Giovanni, an ambitious, well-prepared, innovative chef and always looking for the perfect pairing; he takes care of his dishes with great care both from a taste point of view and from a presentation point of view (beautiful and good). Francesca, in the restaurant business for generations, is an incredible hostess, with her smile and kindness she will win you over; She is also very knowledgeable in her field and a sommelier, she loves what she does and it shows, she already immerses you in the story of every dish she presents to you, making you enjoy it with your eyes and mind before with your palate. The tavern is located at the foot of the historic center of Scalea, it has both internal and external seats and all with attention to detail, so much so as to make it a super welcoming environment. The dishes, from the appetizer to the dessert, are all excellent and rich in raw materials produced by the owners themselves or in any case at 0 km. 5 stars with praise for this place, a beautiful reality, in the heart of the city.
