Location, recommended by a group of Friends, very refined as are the dishes with colors and aromas that envelop the thoughts and satisfy the palate. Polite, kind, affable staff and always available to illustrate the preparation of the dishes. It will be a fixed stop on future trips to Val d'Orcia. Thank you. S and M. November 2024

Lovely owners and my open sandwich was superb

Great place for dinner, very tasty!

The food at the restaurant was exceptional and the owner was really fantastic, he deserves five stars. However, the experience was negatively influenced by the too frequent way in which the waitress came to the table to ask for our order, putting pressure and disturbing a little the relaxed atmosphere we were hoping to have (she came three times in a row every 3 minutes to ask if we were ready). Furthermore, we were not told the dishes of the day (again by her) while at the other table we were, perhaps because we were young, and this limited our choice and the overall experience a bit. In any case, the food and the owner's service are really worth it and we will return as every year.

Awesome restaurant in the charming little hilltop town of Monticchiello. Food was exceptional and the restaurant had a very warm and welcoming vibe. We stayed nearby at L'Olmo and I would highly recommend stopping at Daria for dinner when in the area!

Visiting Pienza and its surroundings we find this restaurant, via the internet, in the small village of Monticchiello. We booked by phone, they immediately found us a table despite the little advance notice and we were there shortly after half an hour. The restaurant has outdoor and indoor tables, making it very spacious and very elegant. The staff immediately brings us a seat for the little girl present and in a short time also simple pasta. The menu presents various courses all of Tuscan origin and therefore we decide to try, as a starter, the Liver Patè, Vin Santo Caviar, brioche bread and pear with Vinbrulè and a selection of various cheeses. While the main course is pasta with various sauces: cocoa tagliatelle with white duck ragù, ancient grain pappardelle with wild boar and hand-rolled pici with Aglione. We conclude the excellent lunch with desserts: a berry cheesecake and chocolate cake (Brownie) with lemon cream. The lunch bill, despite the location of the place (historic centre), is average and given the excellent quality of the products, the extreme kindness and helpfulness of the staff leads me to strongly recommend the place.

Favorite restaurant in Val d'Orica, the service is excellent. Everything is well done, both in terms of the meat (La Fiorentina 😍) and the sommelier who presents the wine list to us! A must do if you're in the area! 🍇

In diesem kleinen Stödtchen auf dem Hügel empfehle ich zu kommen (auch TOP für Fahhradtour). Extrem romantisch mit einigen netten Kneipen. Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls schön eingerichtet und in einer engen Straße positioniert. Das Essen und Weine sind richtig gut, toskanisch, einfach aber gut zubereitet. Man merkt hier die Erfahrung kommt aus der Küche. BofG - Wiederkommen/Empfehlungsfaktor (0-100%): 70% - kann ich nur empfehlen.

Serata con amici a Monticchiello al ristorante Daria. Ambiente bello, curato e caratteristico. Abbiamo iniziato con un amuse bouche e un calice di prosecco offerto dalla casa. Abbiamo proseguito con un tortino di verdure con crema di pecorino (super) e dei pici al ragù toscano entrambi ottimi. Di secondo abbiamo provato diversi piatti tutti molto buoni. Il mio preferito è stato la guancia di manzo al vino rosso, morbida e saporita. Servizio attento e cordiale. Conto corretto per la qualità offerta. Bravi!
