Nestled in the medieval village of Monticchiello, near Pienza and the Sienese Val d'Orcia, the Daria restaurant immediately puts the guest at ease. Pleasant temperature, light background music and a smile as soon as you enter the room. The selection is quite challenging because each dish gives the impression of being very tasty and it is exactly like that! From the appetizer to the dessert everything is excellent and well looked after and the desire to return is the predominant feeling. Wide choice of wines and surprise, to accompany the dessert, a liqueur wine with sour cherries which, despite being an alcoholic syrup, is not cloying but rather invites you to drink more.

Location, recommended by a group of Friends, very refined as are the dishes with colors and aromas that envelop the thoughts and satisfy the palate. Polite, kind, affable staff and always available to illustrate the preparation of the dishes. It will be a fixed stop on future trips to Val d'Orcia.

The food at the restaurant was exceptional and the owner was really fantastic, he deserves five stars. However, the experience was negatively influenced by the too frequent way in which the waitress came to the table to ask for our order, putting pressure and disturbing a little the relaxed atmosphere we were hoping to have (she came three times in a row every 3 minutes to ask if we were ready). Furthermore, we were not told the dishes of the day (again by her) while at the other table we were, perhaps because we were young, and this limited our choice and the overall experience a bit. In any case, the food and the owner's service are really worth it and we will return as every year.

Awesome restaurant in the charming little hilltop town of Monticchiello. Food was exceptional and the restaurant had a very warm and welcoming vibe. We stayed nearby at L'Olmo and I would highly recommend stopping at Daria for dinner when in the area!

In diesem kleinen Stödtchen auf dem Hügel empfehle ich zu kommen (auch TOP für Fahhradtour). Extrem romantisch mit einigen netten Kneipen. Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls schön eingerichtet und in einer engen Straße positioniert.
Das Essen und Weine sind richtig gut, toskanisch, einfach aber gut zubereitet. Man merkt hier die Erfahrung kommt aus der Küche.
