We tried this little seafood restaurant on a Saturday in late August. There were only a few tables and it was less than half capacity, yet the wait was exhausting. For just one appetizer and two first courses, we must have spent an hour and a half. The fried anchovies were okay, while the two first courses were offered in half portions, which we enthusiastically agreed with. In reality, it was a way to accommodate the orders of an adjacent table. In any case, the first course with monkfish was quite good, but the second course was decidedly unseasoned, featuring a very thick pasta dish, like large, "strascicate" orecchiette. To accompany them and not let the pasta flavor overpower, much more forethought and a more thoughtful accompaniment of both the fish and the sauce would have been needed. As for the ambiance, aside from the large open kitchen, it was very unremarkable for a seafood place. In short, were we just lucky with the evening? Who knows... but I wouldn't go back.

La Cambusa was truly a wonderful discovery. The restaurant is small, with just a few seats, and the atmosphere is intimate and welcoming: it almost feels like home, but with that extra touch of care that makes you feel pampered.
The service was impeccable: kindness, attentiveness, and that affable manner that immediately puts you at ease. A friendly and courteous young man was in the dining room, and the chef was in the open kitchen.
We started with two raw dishes: incredibly fresh oysters, perfectly flavored, and a fantastic weever tartare. Then came the first courses: truly exceptional, sophisticated dishes but with simple and authentic flavors. The tuna was a real surprise: incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and extraordinary in flavor.
To finish, a homemade zuppa inglese: delicious, you can taste it's prepared with care and fresh ingredients.
The wine list is comprehensive and well-stocked, and the prices are absolutely fair for the quality and experience.
In short: we ate very well, felt welcomed, and were looked after with care. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

I'm so happy I found this place. These guys have been running this wonderful restaurant business for eight years now. I don't know how, after living in Centocelle for years, I'm only just discovering them, but better late than never! I booked for a special occasion with my partner, and once we arrived we opted for the tasting menu, eight courses (generous overall, we left really satisfied) for €150 for two. What can I say, all the dishes were amazing, original recipes, and made with the highest-quality ingredients: we were really impressed by the raw red and purple prawns, which were truly the best I've eaten, not just in Rome, but in recent years. All of this was accompanied by a remarkable wine, which we carefully selected.
I could really go on and on about the dishes I enjoyed, but I'd like to say a few words about the staff, who were truly friendly and professional, yet not overly formal. They immediately make you feel at ease and then explain each dish, offering a truly culinary experience.
The space is small—it seats 16-18 people, if I'm not mistaken—and this, in my opinion, makes it an even more intimate and pleasant environment.
I'm truly thrilled; I sensed all the passion these guys put into it, and we left completely blown away. Go there!!!

Words are not enough to describe the raw and cooked dishes, you will be amazed by the quality of the fish. The owners are top notch, what can I say about a pearl like Cambusa, it was needed in a neighborhood like Centocelle where only the sea is missing.
