The previous reviews that significantly contributed to the choice of this place to have dinner in Montepulciano were not reflected in our experience. The restaurant, definitely more like a pub, is nice, nothing to say about the location. The 4 platters ordered were a little skimpy, the menu tells of an appetizer of cured meats creating an expectation different from reality. The burrata, however, is very good. The pici with crumbs (a typical dish of the area) were bland, lacking in seasoning, and overall the most disappointing dish of the dinner. Normal beans and kebabs. The beer seemed to be soaked in prosecco rather than soaked in beer. The beer is very good.

Small and very welcoming place, friendly, friendly and fun staff. Delicious food, excellent pici, the livers are something unique... if we return to these parts we will definitely stop at Bottega Matta. Congratulations, keep it up 😋🥳

Owner / bar person is fantastic. Beers are great. Had picci + local pork & meat / cheese board, both great. Must visit & so much easier & cheaper, than Montepulciano, a few minutes away.

The choice to focus on beer where wine usually reigns is truly rewarding...spectacular platter and amazing pici! The beer from a local brewery is notable. Very kind service. We'll be back!
