La Bottega Matta In Montepulciano

Already famous for an amazing selection of craft beers, the other pleasure at Bottega Matta is Mamma in the kitchen making the truly traditional dishes of the zone. Silvio is the maestro of beers and has won me over with different tastes every time (and I go often!). Don't miss this treasure, just 5 minutes from Montepulciano.

An amazing place with a fantastic owner! I think we'll meet again next Boxing Day. Even my little girls tasted the wonderful beers and we all came out singing.

The previous reviews that significantly contributed to the choice of this place to have dinner in Montepulciano were not reflected in our experience. The restaurant, definitely more like a pub, is nice, nothing to say about the location. The 4 platters ordered were a little skimpy, the menu tells of an appetizer of cured meats creating an expectation different from reality. The burrata, however, is very good. The pici with crumbs (a typical dish of the area) were bland, lacking in seasoning, and overall the most disappointing dish of the dinner. Beans and kebabs normal. The beer, more than soaked in beer, seemed soaked in prosecco. The beer is very good.

Le recensioni precedenti che hanno notevolmente contribuito alla scelta di questo locale per consumare la cena a Montepulciano non hanno trovato riscontro nella nostra esperienza. Il ristorante, decisamente più simile ad un pub è carino, nulla da dire sulla location. I 4 taglieri ordinati erano un pochino striminziti, di sabato sera, con pochi tavoli da servire, inspiegabile l' assenza della porchetta presentata come alimento da poter inserire come plus alla portata ordinata...il menù racconta un antipasto di salumi creando un'aspettativa diversa dalla realtà. Molto buona invece la burrata. Gli gnocchi ben riusciti nella cottura non avevano abbastanza condimento, anche alla vista "biachicci", i pici alle briciole (piatto tipico di zona) erano sciapi, slegati dal condimento un po' misero, nel complesso il piatto più deludente della cena. Fagioli (il borlotto potrebbe essere migliore del cannellino che si impasta di più) e arrosticini nella norma. Il birramisú più che inzuppato con la birra sembrava intriso di prosecco. Molto buona la birra.
