A truly unique restaurant experience, where the food and service were at a really high level. 🍷 We ate here the first night we arrived in Volpaia. Since we had 2 nights, we had to come back after the fantastic experience we had the first night. So we booked a table again for the next day .. which we did NOT regret at all, where we again received unbeatable service and food. Huge recommendation of their homemade ice cream, the best pistachio and hazelnut ice cream we have ever tasted 🤤🤤 Huge recommendation from here and we will return ourselves next time we are in the area ☺️🇮🇹

We had a delicious dinner here thanks to the recommendation from our hotel Pieve Aldina. The courgette risotto was one of the best thing we ate on our whole trip. Asif (our waiter) was also amazing. He made sure we were really well looked after. Definitely visit!

Can’t say enough good things about how incredible our meal was. Martina and Phillip are amazing. The food was out of this world (duck pasta and steak were our favorites as well as the beef appetizer and hazelnut gelato. YUM!!) and the ambiance was magical. If you are within six hours of this place, work it in your itinerary to stop by. One of the very best meals of our entire trip.

We arrived just as the kitchen was closing. Even so, we received excellent service from everyone at the restaurant. The food, atmosphere, and service were wonderful. Wine and long-neck beer were also available. The best ice cream in the Chianti region.

We ate at Osteria Volpaia on the recommendation of our tour guide from our tour at the winery. Best decision ever! We ate outside on their very pleasant terrace from which we were able to watch the activities in the small square. We ordered wine and proceeded to enjoy a long leisurely lunch. We both chose the same dishes. We started with fried artichoke with leek crema. It was amazing! Very lightly fried, small crispy pieces of artichoke leaf around the wonderful center (choke) combined with the leek cream!! There was some other small component that I can’t recall but suffice it to say it was a memorable dish. Our main was a beef dish made from the “regianna” type of cow. These are the cows that are raised to produce the milk from which Parmesan cheese is made. It was cooked perfectly to our specifications and the seasoning was on point! The perfect amount of salt and flavor of this delicious meat plus the tasty fresh vegetables with this dish brought us back Saturday for a second visit! But not before finishing our first meal with the delightful homemade yogurt made by the owner Martina! I got the Greek yogurt flavor and my husband got pistachio. They were both generous servings and incredibly delicious! And we ate a lot of gelato while we were in Italy!! But Martina’s was tied for first place (with Suso in Venice). Service here was impeccable. I had broken a couple of my ribs, three days previously and the compassion and assistance provided by Martina and her colleague Asif was one of the highlights of our trip. As I stated, previously, we returned on Saturday and replicated the meal, it was THAT good! (The only change we made was that we ordered the chocolate cake with two tiny scoops of yogurt!) Chef’s kiss! On Saturday, I was able to have a delightful conversation with the chef and was very impressed with his philosophy toward cooking. He strives to honor the food and bring out the best in his fresh ingredients, straight from their garden. He does not produce dishes to feature experimentation for experimentation’s sake. All in all 10 out of 10. Highly recommend! If you go… tell them “the lady with the broken ribs” sent you!

My husband and I had the best experience at Osteria Volpaia! The restaurant is run by a husband and wife duo who have done such an amazing job at curating an elevated dining experience while preserving the warm, traditional Italian atmosphere and feeling of famiglia :) The wife, Martina, is an artist who inspires the dishes and her husband brings them to life - they are truly a work of art! Many of the ingredients are sourced from their garden so the meals are fresh and unique to season. The wine was our favorite in all of Tuscany and the gelato (handmade by Martina) was outstanding. This osteria will always be a must when we visit Tuscany. 10/10!

Incantevole location, in un borgo bellissimo, con un terrazzo vista panoramica sulle campagne toscane del chiantigiano, abbiamo gradito e apprezzato formaggi, primi con tartufo, dolci e soprattutto vino della casa veramente eccellente. Consigliatissimo

A Magical Lunch We’ll Never Forget Our lunch at Osteria Volpaia was nothing short of unforgettable. Sharing this experience with my wife in such a beautiful setting made it even more special. The food was outstanding — the risotto and the artichoke were simply out of this world, full of depth and character. What truly elevated the meal was the warmth and authenticity of the people behind it. The chef and the host are not just incredibly skilled — they’re amazing, genuine individuals who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. This was one of those rare experiences that stays with you. I recommend this place 100%. If you’re near Volpaia, don’t even think twice — just go.
