Excellent little restaurant in the heart of Lucca, right next to the basilica. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely. An Italian dining experience that can rightly be considered authentic, given the dishes offered and their quality. As for drinks, we only had a bottle of table wine, so we can't comment too much on the rest. A must-do!

Recommended by our accommodation. I definitely recommend the pasta with mushrooms; it was very good. The fresh pasta with meat was adequate, and the mixed salad was simple. We weren't impressed with the house wine, but overall the experience was good.

Highly recommended - friendly staff, beef ravioli with roasted potatoes was excellent. Food very tasty. Reasonably priced. Go early as they get packed very quickly.

Ambiente semplice ma accogliente. Cucina locale con piatti molto curati. Particolarmente gradita "la ciccia dell'oste" ed un filetto tenerissimo. Non curatevi dei cartelli esposti, sono umoristici, il titolare è molto gentile e simpatico così come sua figlia. Non si mangia solo, è un'esperienza.

Buona cucina ottimo servizio prezzi giusti. Si trova al centro servizio rapido buoni i piatti della tradizione Toscana. Unica pecca il proprietario accanito tifoso della Juventus. Che poi ha pareggiato shomurodov lo saluta. Lo consiglio sicuramente.

19/07/2025: The staff is incredibly friendly, always helpful, and available at any time of day. Their freshly baked milk rolls are the real highlight: soft, fragrant, and irresistible. The puff pastry pizzas are also a must-try. A highly recommended bakery, where quality and courtesy truly make the difference!
19/06/2025: Excellence. We tried different types of focaccia, stuffed and not, different types of cakes. Everything was really excellent.

Vecchi Sapori della Lucchesia

14/07/2025: A takeout-only pizzeria, for us it's THE pizza! (Suffice it to say that we're willing to drive 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back at least a couple of times a month...). It must be said that it's a unique pizza, with a wide crust, long-rising dough, and—at least for us—exclusively Calabrian ingredients (grilled vegetables, spicy sausage, 'nduja, scamorza, chili pepper, spianata Calabrian, etc.). They also offer pizzas and calzones with classic ingredients. The calzones are excellent, as are the pizzas, all of which are generously sized (we usually order three between five of us) and at very competitive prices. For us, it's a regular stop that we always look forward to!
12/07/2025: The terrace is beautiful; we weren't able to use it, but we called at the last minute and they welcomed us inside. Delicious food and truly friendly staff. This is the part of Calabria we love; we were welcomed right at home, with home-made flavors and excellent value. We stumbled upon it by chance, and highly recommend it.
