The food was authentic but creative fare from Abruzzo. Highlights included the mutton tartare and gelato made with local liqueur, ratafia. The wine list is carefully selected and we had a mid-priced bottle that was excellent; it seems like you can't go wrong here. Our service was exemplary; a shout out to Evelyn for her phenomenal attention to detail and kindness to two non-italian speakers. The chef provided an amuse-bouche complimentary and the atmosphere was relaxed and calm. The restaurant was unpretentious but totally met the standards of fine dining. Phenomenal experience, worth the trip to Porta Romana. Highly recommended, many thanks for a great culinary experience!

12/01/2025: Time has stopped: the dishes, the old TV, the furniture, the owners. Once inside it is not at all easy to establish which decade you are eating. Sincere place. The food meets expectations.
27/12/2024: Revelation! An atmospheric restaurant with traditions. The best we've ever been to. We found it by accident last year and specifically visited again on our next visit to Milan. During our holiday we were there every day. The quality and taste of the dishes are indescribable. Delicious! We recommend it to the whole family! We will come back for sure :)

22/12/2024: Having lunch in this ancient tavern was like taking a dive into true Milanese tradition! The cuisine is authentic, with dishes prepared according to old-fashioned recipes, rich in flavor and authenticity. The service is impeccable, with an attention and friendliness that recall times gone by, when hospitality was an art. The property stands out for the care with which it manages the restaurant, paying attention to every detail, from the excellence of the dishes to the well-being of customers and staff. A place that feels like home, where every moment becomes special. Highly recommended!!!
21/12/2024: The food is good, the wine is good, but some dishes didn't convince me. Mondeghili didn't drive me crazy. The mascarpone cream, on the other hand, is magnificent, I have rarely tasted one so light. A peculiarity: here you can still find fried brains. At the weekend, the atmosphere was a little too crowded.
