Today my wife and I had lunch at Bottega dei Portici, and as always, it was a guarantee!!!!

We happened upon this place on a Sunday, the Sunday in October when the chestnut festival was held. We asked if it was possible to reserve a table; everything was fine, we could eat from noon onwards, and he told us to sit outside. Happy, we went shopping at the festival.
We returned for lunch; we were seated at a table partially in the sun, which wasn't exactly comfortable... oh well. Thirty minutes passed, during which we repeatedly asked to order, and we still couldn't place an order. A gentleman came to take our order; his tone was sarcastic, but we ordered Tuscan crostini and chestnut flour ravioli, with porcini mushrooms, butter, and parmesan.
The problem was that they got the wrong dishes: mixed crostini—we ate and kept quiet—and then they served potato tortelli with ragù. One person doesn't eat meat, so we asked for a substitution. We pointed out the mix-up, and instead of apologizing, the gentleman insinuated that we weren't precise—which wasn't true—but then became unspeakable when he addressed us with foul and offensive language, which I can't reproduce.
A real shame, because the kitchen and staff didn't deserve an episode like this, so be careful: here, it's always the customer's fault. The place is pleasant.

In addition to selling wines and other typical local products, the shop also offers lunch and a very varied menu.
Unfortunately, we visited on an unusual and very busy day.
Aside from the wait to order, the real problem was that we were unfortunately unable to enjoy the dishes we ordered due to an error on the order. The mistake was blamed on us, and the person who made the mistake didn't even apologise, even accusing us of being a nuisance.
I must add, however, that when it came time to get the bill, someone else approached us with a small but sincere acknowledgment.
Disappointed, but also eager to try the dishes we chose, we'll likely return.

The atmosphere was very nice and pleasant, and the food was excellent. The tagliatelle and tortelli were as good as our grandmothers'.
The lady who served us was very courteous and professional.
The only thing I found a bit off was the host's schoolmarm attitude; if it was meant to be friendly, well, it didn't work.
That said, the tagliatelle also deserve... a little patience.

Very welcoming place, you go underground very cool ideal in summer. Good dishes, a little too much oil but it didn't ruin everything. Excellent selection of wines.
