We were in this restaurant for the first time, but the desire to return was immediate! The staff is very professional and kind, especially Mrs. Matilde! The food was excellent, from the starter to the main course... the lamb and the suckling pig were simply fantastic. The meat is soft and tasty at the right point. The dessert is also good... there is a varied and original dessert menu. To conclude, the place appears to be quiet and very welcoming.

What a gem! Delicious dishes with complete trust in their excellent products. The flavors feel like a mix of tradition and playful invention. The service is knowledgeable and friendly. The small family run restaurant has a warm och relaxing atmosphere.

Wir waren 2023 zweimal und im Juli 2024 einmal beim Essen in der Trattoria La Botte. Für uns ist diese Trattoria das beste Speiselokal in Stresa. Die Empfehlung im Guide Michelin ist gerechtfertigt. Der Service ist hervorragend. Die Gerichte sind besonders. Die hausgemachten Ravioli sind ein Traum, das Risotto einfach perfekt. Wer Lamm gerne isst, sollte den Lammrücken mit Spinat probieren. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen.

We have written a rewiev of this restaurant before but it is so great it deserves a new one. If you are in Stresa and can have a table( prebook!) you should go! You are in for a superb experiece. The chef really cares about making delicious food. And the “mama” rules in the restaurant with great help from the sons. It seems shift of generation are in proces in a very competent way.

We had a lovely dinner, a beautiful restaurant. You could not ask more from staff and hostesses. Very friendly, and you did not have to ask a thing they knew what was up 😀 . The food was excellent 👌 Higley recommend a visit but call and book table a head it is popular.

I’m not sure how this place made the Michelin list, unless small portions automatically a restaurant. All of our courses were very basic and it was HOT - to the point we were both sweating for most of the meal.
