La Basilica Restaurant In Sorrento

Excellent place!! Very good and friendly service and delicious food!!!! Mushroom risotto with peppered beef on mashed potatoes and a tiramisu that was out of this world!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Everything was very good, except for the price. There are cheaper equivalents in Sorrento.

The atmosphere is very beautiful, clean, and well-kept. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent.

We had New Year's Eve dinner. Honestly, I'm not giving it two stars only because the fish was fresh and the staff was kind and courteous. The appetizer was very good, but the first courses didn't taste exactly right. The sea bass was good, but poorly cooked and combined with the potatoes and artichokes. Dessert was the icing on the cake: inedible, with a sour flavor due to the contrast between the hazelnut and lemon. Furthermore, there was no priority for children; they had to wait for their plates while their parents were already eating. It was also a mistake not to offer an alternative to the first courses, such as simple penne with tomato sauce (not all children like spaghetti with clams or ravioli). I understand all the difficulties involved in organizing a dinner, but it wasn't the best, especially in terms of the preparation, not the quality of the ingredients. All in all, a lovely atmosphere and a great party.

We loved La Basilica place and the chef. The food is more than delicious. It's just amazing. The beatiful atmosphere and friedly stuff makes this place more than a Michelin star restaurant.
