You can't pass through Pescara without letting yourself be guided by those who know taste. So, on advice, we landed at La Barcaccia - a historic restaurant, a few steps from the sea immersed in a warm, elegant but familiar atmosphere. We followed the flow of their proposal: spectacular raw fish, a waltz of hot and cold appetizers, a prawn tartare that dances on the palate, crunchy squid in a sweet caponata and a Mediterranean turbot that smells of the open sea. One wave after another, each dish overwhelmed us. No notes out of tune, just pure harmony: flavors that speak the language of tradition, with modern, vibrant, personal accents. La location e’ carina centrale un po’ retrò. Antipasti crudi e cotti eccezionali, il resto buono , una menzione merita il tiramisù ! Il servizio è curato, attento, non invadente ma molto brillante, i tempi di attesa un po’ lunghi. Il prezzo assolutamente onesto per un menù di questo tipo, non so se il linea con Pescara ma certamente al di sotto rispetto ad altre città.

I was looking for a restaurant to offer a special experience to my mother for her birthday. What can I say, it has become one of his favorite restaurants. I won't dwell on describing the food but I would like to mention the raw gurnard with Chinese mandarin, a particular combination that I have never tried before, as well as other things present in the complete starter. I didn't give my all to the service because it wasn't impeccable, however a positive note was the kindness and courtesy of the waiter in accepting my clarifications. I will definitely come back.

Crudi e antipasti di pesce: tradizione e innovazione. E anche i primi, lo spaghettone con i gamberi e il peperoncino, molto buono. La carta dei vini precisa e con ottimi vini locali. Servizio e atmosfera impeccabile.
