We went to dinner last night, a very beautiful and characteristic place... the dishes, meat and wine, all excellent and of great quality... shame about the oriental waitress who was decidedly incompetent, and not at all sociable.

Definitely one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Nice place, good service, and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. I'll be back more often and definitely recommend it. 👍🫶

For lovers of Florentine steak (the real thing) and porcini mushrooms, La Baita is one of the best restaurants in the Pistoia area. The atmosphere is traditional yet pleasant, the service attentive but a bit slow, the quality of the dishes and ingredients is superb, and the price is a little above average, with a first course, steak, side dish, and dessert (with house wine) still coming in at around €70 per person.

14/11/2025: Seasonal food, limited selection, but given the gourmet setting, it's understandable. Excellent dishes. The restaurant is crowded and too noisy.
09/11/2025: Excellent meat dinner. The tartare was good, the savory strudel could be improved. Two truly delicious marbled steaks, tender and flavorful. Good wine, good gin and tonics, a wonderful experience. The bill was reasonable, €70/person.

Le gastronomie di Mat - Osteria

02/01/2026: A very well-kept restaurant, with a beautiful open kitchen that welcomes you as soon as you enter. The staff is friendly and professional, and the wine selection is well-thought out. I was expecting something a little more original and creative from the menu, but overall the experience was pleasant.
22/12/2025: Highly recommended, company dinner, so the double first course and double second course raised the price a bit but it was worth it.
