Lovely place, truly a refreshment. Sandwich with sausage and melted provola cheese with ice cold beer. I can still taste it now. Only flaw.. It opens too late and closes too early. For those who go on excursions, there is no possibility of refreshment in the late return journey. Nature at 360 degrees

A true corner of paradise immersed in the uncontaminated nature of the Pollino National Park. La Baita is a welcoming, warm and perfect structure for those seeking relaxation and authenticity. The family atmosphere is perceived from the first moment, also thanks to the kindness and helpfulness of the managers. But the real strong point are the dishes, prepared with love and skill according to local tradition. The portions are generous and the flavor takes you back in time, like a Sunday family lunch. From cured meats to cheeses, through homemade pasta and local meats, each dish is a genuine and satisfying experience. A place where you feel at home, surrounded by the beauty of the landscape and the scents of authentic cuisine. Highly recommended for those looking for real flavors and a regenerating break. To return, without a doubt.

25/06/2025: We were looking for a place to celebrate our little Luca's communion and we found this enchanting place through acquaintances... as enchanting as the nature that surrounds it. Riccardo was immediately kind and helpful, we were spoiled for choice on the first courses, in the end we fell on the ravioli, with a sauce with real tomatoes and an exquisite ricotta, instead on the lamb (soft as butter) as a second course, we had no doubts in choosing it. Genuine cuisine with zero km ingredients. Beautiful day with lots of sun, even if with a lot of wind, which however did not prevent us from staying outside and enjoying the show of the two ponies, the goats and the ducks. I must say that the most beautiful thing was the presence of Mr. Mario, a tireless worker, who at each course told us some curiosities about the dish or the place. We really felt at home. Thank you for the hospitality, we will definitely come back to visit you. Gina, Michele and Luca.

30/06/2025: Very nice place with an outdoor area overlooking Castelmezzano. Excellent food with local products at the right price. Young staff, extremely kind and friendly! If I passed through Castelmezzano again, I would definitely stop again! Thank you!
