La Baita In Courmayeur

Great service, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Cozy atmosphere.

Five stars but I’m going to start with a couple small suggestions for improvement: only disappointment, which we knew going in, was lack of a Jacuzzi/hot tub. The hotel has plenty of space outside for one and this would be a great addition! would also be great if the gym had some free weights. Those aside, we absolutely loved our stay. Everyone who works there was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It makes a difference, so keep up the great work! The hotel is charming, especially the wood paneled lobby/lounge/bar with fireplaces and lots of cozy nooks. The pool is far better than shown on the website: lovely setting both indoor and outdoor and very very warm. (doesn’t quite make up for lack of hot tub, but pretty close!). Distance from the heart of Courmayeur was a bit disappointing. Really appreciated the shuttle and the friendly drivers who kept it going at any time of day or night. If the weather has been a bit warmer, and there were less snow on the ground, we probably would have made the walk but were a bit too lazy after a day of skiing. But we never had to wait too long for the shuttle, whether going into town for dinner or driving five minutes to the gondola. Would happily recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Courmayeur.

I spent a weekend at the Gran Baita Hotel in Courmayeur and had a truly wonderful time. Excellent service, great customer service, and attention to every need: the team is always available and ready to help. Special thanks to Marco for his helpfulness and helpful advice, and to Pietro at the bar, who made our evenings even more enjoyable with fabulous drinks. Fantastic weekend: we'll definitely be back.

A superlative Christmas lunch, everything was truly excellent, including the service.

We stayed for 10 days during the ski season. We are a family of 6 and had 2 rooms, both with their own pools, and were inter-connected. The rooms were excellent quality and always cleaned daily. Great location of the rooms with a lift and on the same level as the ski storage room. Maybe need a few Hooks in the room to hang ski jackets! The daily breakfasts were excellent - though maybe rotating the hot meal every few days would have been good. The highlight was the Wellness centre - the steam room, sauna, hot tub, pool and tea room were brilliant and a great way to soothe the tired ski bodies. We often spent 1-2 hours in the Wellness centre every day. The Reception bar area is also a treat - lots of nooks, great drinks and service. Several people to highlight: Marco, the driver was brilliant. Always friendly, on-time and with a great music collection in his van. The crew in the restaurant and bar were always smiling and made us feel welcome - Eddie, Peter, Allesandro and their entire team. We also felt once the booking was taken, the hotel was very good in responding to our questions - transfers, ski hire, restaurant bookings etc. OVERALL, an excellent stay at Gran Baita and we will be back!

The property is well-maintained; as soon as you enter, you immediately feel like you're in a mountain cabin. For a four-star hotel, the hotel surprised us; it was a pleasant vacation. The spa was also really nice, and Giada, the spa lady, was truly helpful, kind, and professional! I had a relaxing massage with her, and I can say it was perfect! The other spa lady was also very kind, but I didn't have the chance to try any of her services. It's a shame, however, that some things were amiss, such as the pool doors not working properly. During our five days there, no one showed up to fix the problem. We had a small dog, and unfortunately, we didn't find a dog bed or bowl in the room. I would pay more attention to the cleanliness of the toilet and, especially, the outdoor pool near our room; it was very dirty, with the tiles slimy and full of sand inside. I understand it's an outdoor pool, but we tried it on our first day, and if it had been cleaned before we told them, we would have noticed. Therefore, I don't recommend the room with the pool. Instead, I highly recommend the cabin and we will definitely return.

We stayed for two nights in January in a room with a Mont Blanc view. The view from the room is stunning. The room is beautifully decorated, just like the rest of the hotel -you can really see how much attention has been paid to the details. The outdoor pool is amazing -swimming with a mountain view is a truly special experience. Although it is stated that the pool opens at 10 a.m., in reality, when we arrived, it only opened after lunch, which was a big disappointment in an otherwise wonderful hotel. The biggest disappointment, however, was the breakfast -probably the worst I can remember. The omelet was tasteless, the sausages were unpleasant, the bread and pastries were not fresh, the juices tasted artificial, and even the smoked salmon was of low quality. This really surprised both me and my husband. The only good items were the coffee and the donuts; everything else felt barely edible.

Would recommend hotel gran baita! It is a great hotel, excellent staff, comfortable rooms, good food and a good spa area. The only issue would be the internet is slow and the shuttle can take a while to pick you up. Other than that it is a great place to stay.

We absolutely loved this small hotel with great services. As Americans we felt ensconced in a Italian Winter wonderland. our days started with an amazing breakfast with views of mountains, in a very efficient shuttle to the ski slopes or town, and dinner in their wonderful restaurant followed by drinks in the piano bar with live music. Pietro At the bar was so friendly and really made us feel at home. we will be back!

Incredible hotel. Everyone super friendly, especially Pietro at the bar. Lobby and bar/restaurant area is one of the nicest in town. Would definitely come back again.
