Seit vielen Jahren ist der jährliche Besuch des Merlo in Cetona ein fixer Bestandteil der Italien-Ferien. Dieses Traditionsbewusstsein unsererseits lässt sich auch auf das Restaurant übertragen: die Karte, das Team, die Qualität, das Ambiente bleiben im besten Sinne des Wortes stabil. Hier wird eine toskanische Küche ohne Chichi serviert, auf Basis guter Grundprodukte und mit eleganter Hand gewürzt. Klassiker wie die Tagliata oder die Pici sind auch nach zig Bestellungen jedes Mal eine neue Freude wert. Eine Empfehlung, das Merlo, die man jeder Jahr erneuern könnte.

Despite the enormous heat in the place, you could sit on the terrace in the light wind and enjoy wonderful Italian food. Very innovative dishes, skillfully prepared.

Under the circular clock tower, at the end of the main square, there is this excellent restaurant, with tables under the external pergola and inside. In the ancient tower they keep the wines. A refined environment as well as the service, spontaneous and smiling, not rigid. We had a very good time, I recommend it.
Positive note for the excellent wine from a local winery, located in the center.

I was in Cetona on a Tuesday and as I know it's a closing day for Nilo which is usually my usual restaurant, on recommendation I go to this restaurant where I had been years before, as the person who recommended it to me told me that I wouldn't regret it. Nilo, I have to say that the place is very nice and clean, the waitress was friendly and courteous, the prices were in line and the food was quite good (the lamb was sublime) shame about the pici all'aglione, which were absolutely not up to par , but I would go back, maybe next time they'll make them properly

As in the best restaurants, the choice of dishes is not exaggerated as is the wine list, a few selected choices of excellent quality. Very knowledgeable and kind staff, we felt pampered. The dishes were very good. The port melon was amazing. Not to mention the cake, with the treat of hazelnut ice cream to break up the strong flavor of the chocolate. We got two glasses of wine instead of a bottle and they allowed us to taste multiple wines to choose the best. I will definitely go back.

I stop every time I pass because we always eat well here with excellent raw materials and the staff are truly courteous.
I also find that there are proposals to try with curiosity. Everything is always delicious 😋

Excellent dinner in a very nice place with attentive and courteous staff.
The dishes are all taken care of down to the smallest detail. What struck us most were the dessert proposals which were not only delicious but also very spectacular. Absolutely recommended!
