Here for dinner, we enjoyed excellent dishes (the risotto and venison were delicious), tastefully prepared (both in form and substance) and carefully served by courteous and attentive staff, who were never intrusive. All in an elegant and relaxing atmosphere. The bill was absolutely in line with the quality of the offerings.

I was invited by a friend to Ristorante Kallmünz in Merano, and I was impressed from the very start. The castle-like setting, with its cozy courtyard filled with blankets, heaters, and Christmas lights, creates a magical atmosphere. Inside, the rustic-yet-modern décor feels warm and authentic. The staff is young, friendly, and clearly works well together. The menu offers a nice mix of meat, fish, and creative pasta dishes. Service was quick and flawless, and every plate was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The owner kindly offered us a digestif at the end, which made the experience even more special. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Merano — one of the best dining experiences in the city!

Incredibly good food, every plate a work of art, lovingly presented and authentic. The portions are just right and the service is not overly attentive. We felt very comfortable and were completely satisfied when we left. Absolutely recommended!

Relaxed yet professional service and cuisine; I was there for lunch. Very pleasant atmosphere and delicious Italian food. Superb wine selection. Clearly above 4.5 stars and therefore a well-deserved 5 points.

01/02/2026: It's certainly not a typical South Tyrolean trattoria, but the quality of the food, the friendliness, and the hospitality of Marco and his staff are absolutely worth a visit. This restaurant, which exudes Sicilian atmosphere, proudly displays his ties to his homeland on the walls, and his dishes convey all his passion and love for the flavors of the island's cuisine. Eating an exceptional caponata surrounded by the Alps is a unique experience, as is savoring the seafood dishes, a balance between modernity and a refined exploration of traditional flavors. To finish, a ricotta cannoli that rivals the best Sicilian pastry shops. What more can I say? Head to Boia for an exotic experience in the heart of South Tyrol.

Restaurant Seehof

23/02/2026: We stayed here during the Olympic Games. This family-run hotel offers very friendly service, delicious food, and a great spa area with views of a lake and the Kronplatz mountain. The rooms are clean but could use some updating, especially the bed and bathtub (box spring beds and walk-in showers are standard these days). Therefore, we're giving the rooms fewer stars.
19/02/2026: A very nice, family-run hotel. The service here is outstanding. During the Olympic Games, we always had to start at 7:00 a.m. Breakfast was always served an extra 1.5 hours earlier. The restaurant is also excellent. The fitness center, spa, sauna, gym, and swimming pool facilities are fantastic. Many 5-star hotels would envy such facilities. All the facilities and rooms are very well-maintained and clean. The view across the lake to Bruneck is breathtaking.
