Absolutely stunning experience. First off, the staff is friendly and down to earth. They were patient in speaking English with us, or when asking basic questions about the food. We ordered the tasting menu and it did not disappoint. Innovative ideas combined with the historical history of the island combined onto each plate. From the fish with a delicate cheese sauce, to the risotto with wild asparagus, to the incredible dessert that we just were not expecting, everything about this place screamed Michelin. Easily one of the best meals of my life. 10/10

A very welcoming place, with attentive and friendly service. The open kitchen in the front room is beautiful. Excellent ingredients are cooked with great care. The Japanese egg-shaped grill is often used. The atmosphere is wonderful, accompanied by vinyl records, with a playlist that changes daily; regular customers can also choose from a wide selection. The wine list is excellent, with very fair markups. The final bill was influenced by a top-quality Champagne. P.S. If the ratings had decimals, we would have given the kitchen a 4.5; it will motivate them to do even better.

One of the best restaurants in the city! A relaxed, metropolitan style, an open kitchen, good music, and superb cuisine that constantly draws inspiration from old Sardinian traditions and gives them a modern twist. All this comes at a price, but it's justified. One minor drawback: sometimes the service can be a bit elitist and not very cooperative. This detracts from the otherwise excellent impression of JoSto.

An urban restaurant with excellent taste, meticulous attention to detail, and a well-defined identity. The menu cover is also immediately striking: incredibly beautiful, illustrated by a renowned Cagliari artist, it adds a creative and distinctive touch to the experience.
Overall, the experience was positive, and the quality of the dishes is certainly high. We probably appreciated even more the wine pairing suggested by the sommelier, which, however, was not included in the tasting menu.
The first course was a real surprise: a celery and bottarga salad, a sensational start, totally unexpected. The second and third courses also had their own merits and were very enjoyable. The first course, an artichoke risotto, was decidedly good.
What slightly upset the overall balance was the fifth course, which was changed without our knowledge: we were served spaghetti cooked in tomato water, which was decidedly too acidic. Overall, the tasting already leaned heavily toward bitter notes, and this dish further accentuated that tendency.
We're nearing the end with the sixth course, which was also changed from the menu without warning, but was still delicious. The tasting concludes with a candied lemon sorbet on a sage base, also quite acidic.
Overall, it was a very complex and interesting tasting, but perhaps some of the flavor balance could be reworked, or it would be preferable to maintain the menu's original structure without any unannounced changes.
We'll definitely be back to try other options, like the "share" menu.

A decidedly positive experience. The dishes were all excellent, prepared with quality ingredients and well-balanced portions. The service was top-notch, attentive, and professional, helping make the evening particularly enjoyable. The refined and elegant setting completed an experience worth repeating. Recommended.
Our order included a glass of aperitif, a mix of four shared appetizers, a shared first course, a shared second course, a dessert, coffee, and a digestif. All accompanied by an excellent wine.
The bill was also fair and in line with the quality offered.

A truly interesting experience, quality food with appetizing combinations, attentive and always present staff... but... the quality of the service could be improved: too many and very obvious fingerprints on the edge of the plate and cutlery, not suited to the type of place, give off an unpleasant taste.

The food was excellent. Nice decor. A bit upscale. Good for special occasions. Maybe it was a slower night. Staff came by too often to see how we were doing. Seem like every few minutes. I would recommend if you are are looking for a nicer place.
