Delicious food, impeccable service, and Olga Polizzi’s beautiful interiors. I wasn’t staying at the Savoy on this visit to Florence, so I decided to have lunch at Irene to enjoy some of the hotel’s incredibly lovely ambiance. I enjoyed eggs with white truffle from a seasonal menu, the turbot, and a tiramisu (large enough for 2 to share). Lunch was wonderful and made me wish I had stayed at the Savoy.

Irene is a tasteful, comfortable and accommodating – if expensive – restaurant in an excellent location in Florence directly on Piazza della Repubblica within Rocco Forte's Hotel Savoy. The food, wines and ingredients are all carefully considered and thoughtful to seasonality and freshness. The accompanying service and overall experience are first-rate. After a recent renovation, the space looks particularly beautiful.

Lovely interiors and atmosphere. Great hide-away in the middle of the crowd, and beautiful seating both indoors and outdoors. The service was lovely, headed by Mattia who showed us their bar (in the picture) and really made the experience more personalised - we will for sure be back.
In terms of the food, the ingredients were really fresh where you could really taste the quality. Their generousity is also very commendable.

We had a wonderful evening at Restaurant Irene in Florence. The location on Piazza della Repubblica could not be more perfect, right in the heart of the city. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, with a warm and stylish setting that made our dinner truly special.
The service was excellent – attentive, professional, and very friendly, making us feel well cared for throughout the evening. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor, from the fresh and vibrant starter to the perfectly prepared pasta and risotto. Everything was of outstanding quality.
Overall, Irene is the ideal place to enjoy a refined dinner in Florence with great cuisine, impeccable service, and a unique atmosphere. Highly recommended!
