Today on Easter day we had lunch in the Iolelone restaurant where we tasted traditional local dishes presented by the owner. I must say that we had a very good time, the food was of excellent quality, all really good. I highly recommend it at normal prices.

Ieri sera siamo stati molto bene a cena da IoLelone ristorante in via Fabriano ad Ascoli.
Cucina della tradizione ascolana e non solo fatta con i controfiocchi, olive fritte che avrebbero resuscitato mia nonna che mi ha insegnato a farle a regola d'arte.
Menù scritto sulla lavagna con i piatti del giorno fra cui ravioli incaciati di gallina con pecorino e cannella, tortellini in brodo di gallina, agnolotti di carne, baccalá con patate, fegato alla veneziana e tagliata di carne morbida e saporita.
Mi dicono che fanno anche piatti abbruzzesi e il venerdì primi e secondi di pesce fresco.
Per concludere ravioli di crema e di castagna ottimi.
Raccomandatissimo!
Da tornare anche nei giorni speciali quando cucinano la pajata e le spuntature al forno con patate.

Last night we had a very good dinner at IoLelone restaurant in via Fabriano in Ascoli.
Traditional cuisine from Ascoli and beyond made with confiocchi, fried olives that would have resurrected my grandmother who taught me how to make them to perfection.
Menu written on the blackboard with the dishes of the day including grilled chicken ravioli with pecorino and cinnamon, tortellini in chicken broth, meat agnolotti, cod with potatoes, Venetian liver and soft and tasty sliced meat.
They tell me they also make dishes from Abruzzo and on Fridays fresh fish first and second courses.
To conclude, excellent cream and chestnut ravioli.
Highly recommended!
Also worth coming back on special days when they cook pajata and baked ribs with potatoes.
