My husband and I have been talking about leaving this review for months since we visited Davide’s establishment in October, because it was that memorable!
From the moment we arrived, Davide was incredibly welcoming, humble, and genuinely sweet. He immediately took care of us, setting the tone for what became one of the most intimate and memorable dining experiences of our entire Italy trip. The restaurant feels like having a private chef — we were the only guests during our seating — and watching the sunset as we began our meal made it even more special. My husband loved his Negroni, which was the perfect start.
The first course was an assortment of small bites, each one unique, surprising, and beautifully crafted. And the bread… we’re still talking about the bread. Soft, warm, and perfect.
I chose the four-course mushroom tasting menu, and the standout was the mushroom risotto — one of the best dishes I’ve had in years. My husband ordered ‘The Classics’ menu which included veal with tuna sauce, and the handmade Tajarin with pork ragù. He couldn’t stop raving about the pasta, cut by hand and absolutely delicious. Since my tasting menu included one more dish than my husband’s, Davide brought out an extra taste of veal for my husband so that we would have the same amount of plates. Again, incredibly thoughtful.
Dessert was just as impressive — we could barely finish because we were so full. We each had our own individual dessert (the Tiramusi was maybe the best we’ve ever had) and then they brought out a plate of small bite desserts, each better than the next. Then they surprised us with an additional treat that said Happy Anniversary. It was such a thoughtful gesture; I had even forgotten I mentioned our anniversary when booking.
Funny enough, we almost canceled this reservation because I don’t eat some red meat and initially didn’t think there would be enough options for me. I’m so glad we didn’t — the restaurant is incredibly accommodating, and their vegetable-leaning dishes are outstanding.
IO E LUNA is a one-of-a-kind dining experience. It was the highlight of our trip to Italy, and it’s a meal we will remember forever. Highly, highly recommend.

This restaurant deserves a 5-star rating because some of the dishes on the menu are works of art and are excellent. Don't miss the slow-cooked veal cheek. This is a classy place with excellent staff. The chef is a down-to-earth but capable and knowledgeable person.

It's always nice to come back to this magical place. The dishes have unique and well-matched flavours. Everything is perfect, even the desserts. The bread made by them and their panettone are an excellent gift for Christmas.

Excellent cuisine, alternating unusual flavors with traditional tastes. We loved the food, as well as the friendly service and helpful staff. The wine list is extensive, and the dishes are tasty. Highly recommended.

Expectations were probably too high. The cuisine didn't quite meet our tastes; too many sauces and mousses were used in the dishes. The service wasn't top-notch. Every glass of wine spilled stained the tablecloth. The homemade bread and complimentary appetizers were very good. The wines were also good.

As soon as we arrived, we felt immediately welcomed! Refined restaurant, intimate atmosphere! Service was attentive to every detail! It was a great experience, from appetizers to desserts! Honorable mentions for the panettone, ravioli with gorgonzola and onion, and the quail!! Highly recommended.

Ristorante con meravigliosa vista sulle colline e menu che non ha niente da invidiare ad un ristorante stellato, favoloso il risotto ai fiori di zucca, toma e chiocciole delle Langhe, favolosa la quaglia con amarene cioccolato bianco e foje grass, per non parlare della guancia di vitello. Ed il prezzo assolutamente congruo .

Una experiencia absolutamente genial. Visitamos para almorzar. En resumen, es una visita obligada si te gusta una gran interpretación de la cocina típica piamontesa pero prefieres un restaurante normal en lugar de un establecimiento tipo Michelin largo y complejo... muy buena selección de comida vegetariana con productos de su propio huerto. Durante los últimos 20 años en Italia, probablemente comí el mejor risotto: con espárragos y caracoles. Se necesita mucho tiempo para que los espárragos y el arroz tengan la misma densidad: ligeramente al dente y con un sabor muy característico. La carrillera de jabalí y la ternera con colmenillas (bromeábamos que se trataba de colmenillas con ternera, pues había muchísimas) también estaban absolutamente buenísimas. Nos dieron pequeños postres porque estábamos completamente llenos. La carta de vinos es, como probablemente sea habitual en cualquier lugar de calidad del Piamonte: buen vino a cualquier precio. Por último, la vista desde la terraza es estupenda.
