Il Vecchio Ristoro In Aosta

We were impressed by the Vecchio Ristoro in Aosta. The 5-course menu was sensational, every single course was a culinary masterpiece. Excellent quality ingredients provided one culinary delight after another through excellent craftsmanship and creativity. The risotto was one of the best, if not the best, we have ever tried. The fantastic kitchen performance was perfectly complemented by the professional, attentive and courteous service. The elegant ambience of the former mill was very appealing, but the only criticism of our lunch was the room temperature. It was far too cold and we were freezing after a short time. Apart from that, the restaurant is a crystal clear recommendation. For us it is one of the very best 1 star restaurants we have visited in Italy so far and worth every penny.

Had an outstanding evening with delicious food and impeccable service. Stand out dish was the risotto for me, but everything was very tasty! I had the vegetarian menu, my friend the 'normal' 5 course tasting menu and we shared a bottle of wine. The bill came to under €300 for the two of us which felt like amazing value given the quality of food. We left with full bellies and happy hearts. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Aosta or the surrounding area!

We went last night for my birthday, it's not the first time we've gone, but it's always a winning card, you're never wrong, because everything is always perfect! Just always excited to walk into this place and be treated like a princess. The chef takes care of his customer by coming to the dining room and personally taking command, possibly modifying the culinary choices for any special or vegetarian requests. Silence makes this place sovereign, because in my opinion the dishes are so explosive that you have to be silent to hear everything that is put on your plate! I left very satisfied and full unlike some times when they don't calibrate the quantities well and unfortunately I leave feeling a little hungry! Now enough descriptions and words, the images speak for themselves and if you want to try this fantastic experience you just need to book.

An incredible culinary experience, quality dishes with good products. There are many old ingredients, which give charm to the chef's cuisine. The servers are very attentive and the atmosphere is pleasant.

After discovering Paolo Griffa in December we wanted to test this establishment. Well we were not disappointed and even better we came out with pleasure in our eyes and taste buds delighted and enthusiastic. What a great discovery, tasty, subtle, inventive, demonstrative, we miss the qualifiers. Everything was perfect and we look forward to returning

We visited this gem for my husband’s 50th as he had always wanted to eat in a Michelin star restaurant and it lived up to all expectations and more. The service was excellent and each course offered a culinary adventure, a blend of flavours that we had never experienced before, each and everyone carefully planned and created by their talented chef. We enjoyed each experience.

Non una cena qualsiasi ma una vera esperienza culinaria. Tutto eccellente dalla location suggestiva al servizio impeccabile ai piatti dove la tradizione viene trasformata in innovazione. La stella è tutta meritata. Complimenti ragazzi soprattutto per il rispetto della tradizione culinaria valdostana. Ottima carta dei vini. Dolce agli agrumi punto di forza ma non solo.

What can I say, surprising. A menu that is not at all obvious, dominated by acid and bitterness. Among the best starred ones we tried, we will definitely return.

For being the first time we ate in a starred restaurant, the experience was more than positive. We particularly enjoyed the numerous tastings outside of our orders and all the flavors were intense and refined. The desserts are equally welcome, both those on the menu and the rest of the offerings. Excellent service as well as the environment. Highly recommended!
