Il Timone In Frascati

We walked by by chance and grabbed a free table. After a number of restaurants where they ignore you for half an hour, a very pleasant contrast. Service at a very high level, food also great and the atmosphere of a local business. I definitely recommend it to everyone who is looking for a quiet and authentic place full of local people.

Perfect service, delicious food. To start, we were served a glass of prosecco and bread My wife ate tortellini with mussels, I ordered risotto with shrimps. The dishes were prepared perfectly. At the end, we had a perfect espresso with almond cookies. It is worth adding that the restaurant is quiet. No loud music, which often distracts and interferes with conversation. When I'm in Frascati again, I will definitely come back here.

In what appears to have once been an old cellar in the historic center of Frascati, there is this restaurant specializing in fish dishes. We were there for a birthday, and we ate inside, really well, but there are also tables in the characteristic, pedestrian street. Really good, tasty and fresh cold fish starter, followed by excellent lobster linguine, brought alive to the table before being cooked...😬 Really good! For the second course, an excellent fried calamari, sweet coffee and ammazzacaffè... I couldn't say about the prices as we were guests, but the ones I read on the menu were absolutely normal. Congratulations, excellent experience, a seafood lunch at the Castelli Romani...

A very cool small family restaurant where they know and love to cook fish and seafood. It's really tasty, despite the fact that Frascati is not a seaside town. In Italy, 10 kilometers from the sea, the cuisine is completely different... But in this restaurant everything was perfect. Having already eaten, we saw how local restaurant regulars took some kind of pink risototte and also took it for two to try. It was "Risotto dei Scampi". Divine! I recommend it to everyone! In general, everything was delicious: spaghetti with shells, risotto with sea crustaceans, assorted grilled seafood, and homemade white wine :-) I recommend it with all my heart! Keep in mind that the restaurant is very small, so unless it's a weekday, it's best to make reservations in advance. The restaurant is located a little off the tourist trail, so you are unlikely to stumble upon it while just walking around Frascati.

Excellent restaurant. Fish dishes cooked to perfection, good choice and reasonable prices. The owner is friendly and attentive. Eating outside in the alley is nice but the interior is quite dated.

La serata non è iniziata nel migliore dei modi a causa della mezz’ora persa per trovare un parcheggio ,stavamo addirittura rinunciando !! Fortunatamente,anche se lontano,lo abbiamo trovato e ci siamo inoltrati nei vicoli per raggiungere il ristorante . Appena arrivati siamo stati fatti subito accomodare e ci hanno offerto un prosecco e delle tartine di benvenuto . Abbiamo ordinato linguine con gli scampi ,una grigliata mista, una spigola con patate al forno e per dolce conclusione un dolce che era il torrone di Benevento . Il tutto innaffiato con un vino bellone e con un amaro a conclusione . Le pietanze erano tutte molto buone,porzioni giuste a prezzi onesti . La vera forza del locale è Massimo ,coadiuvato da suo figlio , che è un ristoratore vecchio stampo ,di quelli che sanno come prendersi cura del commensale . Se siete in zona ed avete voglia di farvi una bella mangiata sicuramente non resterete delusi . Alla prossima 💪

Ottima cena. Una cucina "concreta" come piace a noi. Piatti autentici che non hanno bisogno di fiorellini e pennellate di salsa per incantare. Con l'antipasto da 15€ ci si mangia in due. Ottimi i ravioli al salmone e aneto e gli spaghetti cozze vongole e pistacchi. Il dolce poi una chicca. Torrone caldo con gelato alla castagna. Anche il vino della casa si fa rispettare. Piatti che denotano tanto "mestiere". Professionalità e simpatia anche nel servizio. Accolti con prosecco e tartine e salutati con bicchierino di strega per il dolce. La location è carina in estate, si mangia in un bel vicolo di Frascati tranquillo. Insomma 10 e lode!
