Wonderful experience! Welcoming place with impeccable service. Kudos to Alberto, who truly pampered us. What can I say about the food? Superlative. The spaghetti with sea urchins was the best I've ever eaten. I'll definitely be back!!!

Il Timone is a restaurant from days gone by, where you can enjoy divine food, affordable prices, and light, sincere conversations with the polite, competent, and never intrusive wait staff. A genuine restaurant, with plenty of seating spread across the large dining room. The simple furnishings and fresh seafood offer make you feel at home. The place doesn't steal the show with eccentric signs or a tourist-friendly menu; here, you'll find locals who want to eat well. They're right in a restaurant that's an institution for locals and has earned this status. I ate an excellent seafood salad, grilled shrimp, and a mixed grill that had it all. Don't miss the artisanal gelato, guaranteed by a company in Fisciano that also offers unique flavors. I had lemon, walnut, and fig. Delicious.

Great atmosphere, almost impeccable service (they let you taste the wine before serving it). The dishes are masterpieces. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh... The desserts are heaven for those with a sweet tooth. Beautiful wine cellar at fair prices. Worth returning as soon as you get a chance! The bathroom has a breath freshener...

A wonderful experience, a traditional restaurant designed and managed for those who know how to eat well. The quality of the fish and the preparation are excellent. The poached octopus and seafood risotto are superb. The wine list could use some updating, but it does have a few gems. The quality/price ratio is hard to beat these days. Long live the place.

Il Timone, a seafood staple in Salerno After hearing it referred to for years as "the" seafood restaurant in the city, I finally went there with my partner and his daughter and understood why it has endured for decades. A classic, welcoming, and spotlessly clean restaurant, with that old-fashioned service where the staff is highly competent and truly attentive to detail. But let's get to the point: the fish. Here, the cuisine is centered on the sea, with a selection of ultra-fresh seafood dishes prepared to order. You can taste it right away, from the aroma and texture. We started with three seafood appetizers, then two spaghetti with clams, and a sauté. I must say, everything was delicious; the spaghetti was a real delight, and in the sauté, you could taste the full flavor of the sea. I'd read this recommendation and fully agree with it. And then... the fried fish, dry, light, never greasy, just as it should be. After twenty years of loyal customers who still call it "the best seafood restaurant in Salerno" for the quality of its ingredients and impeccable flavor, I can only join the chorus: if you want to eat quality seafood, Il Timone remains a must-visit. Italian seafood and Mediterranean cuisine, with gluten-free options, mid-range prices, and honest for what you get. The quality-price ratio is more than fair. We'll be back for that seafood treat that only a place like this can provide. Highly recommended.

I've been missing for a while, the quality is always excellent, as is the service, the prices aren't popular but that's okay.

A refined and quiet atmosphere, attentive and friendly service. The quality of the fish is incredible; the lobster paccheri deserve a special mention because they were incredible. The price is more than fair considering the high quality of the dishes. Highly recommended!
