We ate at this restaurant in a magnificent location overlooking the stones. The owner is very attentive and knowledgeable regarding food intolerances. We took advantage of an excellent pilgrim's menu reserved for those doing the Via Peuceta, so much so that we returned the next day. You can visit the stone furnished with antique objects and photographs....it looks like a museum!!! Highly recommended also for the friendliness of the owner.

An evocative and enchanting place....you can admire the famous Sassi of Matera and precisely the Barisano....the rooms created in the famous cave houses of the stones...a very particular place...kept and cared for with great attention...cleaning is a strong point of the place...the staff is very welcoming and kind...the kitchen offers many varieties of food...all prepared with skill and passion...you can enjoy the excellent cuisine of Matera and more...all under the masterly control of the owner....a very kind person...they all deserve praise....we invite tourists and people from Matera to choose the terrace restaurant for every occasion.... thank you... we will definitely be back....

The best place to eat in Matera. We couldn't go to the terrace because it was a rainy night, however the room is very nice, the service excellent and the dishes even better

Stopped by for lunch before 12:00 on February 15, 2025. A restaurant inside a cave on a cliff. Go down the stairs from the ground level and enter the restaurant. The restaurant also has a hierarchical structure, with the wine warehouse further down. Before the restaurant opened, the entire building was apparently used as a wine warehouse. You can see the wine warehouse from the restaurant. Spectacular.
I have mushroom basta and salad.

Locale molto caratteristico mangiato molto bene un antipasto , pasta fatta in casa ed agnello. Personale gentilissimo ottimi piatti . Prezzi giusti

Abbiamo prenotato per la cena di Capodanno e siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dall’organizzazione della serata. Cena molto buona, tipica Materana, addolcita da panettone e gelato, per finire con un dolcissimo spumante allo scoccare della mezzanotte in terrazza. Tappa necessaria se soggiornate a Matera.
