The view of Matera is very pretty, and at night it's magical.
Access is good, but the place is very large, making it impersonal and a bit noisy.
The food is good but lacks refinement.

We dined here as part of the Matera walking tour, and found it to be a very pleasant place with excellent quality dishes. The tour of the cellars was interesting, and compliments to all the staff. Highly recommended!

It's rare that I would go right back to a restaurant soon--but I'd go back to this place tomorrow. Excellent food, lots of local dishes at an extremely reasonable prices. The staff were attentive without being overly present, and were always willing to take a minute to respond to questions. Great atmosphere, cool design. Try the peperoni cruschi!

Aside from a short wait at the beginning due to the large number of customers, our lunch went from strength to strength.
The olives and cheeses are absolutely amazing!!!!
The waiters are VERY courteous and friendly, and what can I say...the view is spectacular!
IF YOU FIND THE FIG AND ALMOND TART, YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!!!

Si mangia bene veduta sui sassi
È il posto giusto per assaporare le pietanze locali sullo sfondo di un ambiente pulito e accogliente. tutto è ben curato nei particolari, consiglio sicuramente ai turisti delle città settentrionali.
Matera: non sapevamo dove andare per gustare la cucina tipica ma non essere considerati turisti (anche se lo eravamo). Per cui ci siamo affidati al suggerimento di un passante, residente del posto, che ci inviato a provare questo ristorante (no pizza).
Ci siamo trovati benissimo: cucina perfetta ed a buon prezzo, consiglio gli antipasti ed i primi.
A fine cena ci sta anche la visita (gratuita) alle cantine del locale, dove viene riproposta la vita di una Matera di altri tempi.

Piatti abbondanti e cibo nella norma, comodo il menù turistico a 26€ con 1 primo, 1 secondo, 1 contorno, 1 dolce e 1/2 litro di acqua.
Una bella vista in terrazza, peccato coperta da un gazebo visto il forte vento quando ci siamo stati noi.
