The food was very tasty. The service was okay. The tall, bald waiter wasn't the friendliest. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the main course. The ambience was nice. Close friends of mine from Milan recommended this restaurant to us. Then we went there. It was beautiful. But I don't necessarily have to go there again now. For me, service is an important component. But the food was delicious.

Every time I return to this beautiful and warm place all my senses start to purr. Classy colors and decorations, unforgettable flavours, fragrant smells and aromas of genuine products which are artfully blended, presentation by the friendly and knowledgeable staff who praise the dishes.

Il Solferino is a lovely little restaurant in Milan. It's definitely for special occasions, as it's refined and classy. The service is beyond outstanding, full of humour and good nature. The outdoor sheltered and heated area is a delight to eat in, even when it's not the full blush of summer. The wine list is extensive with something to suit all budgets from 35 to over a thousand euros, and the house wine selection by the glass was delightful. All three courses were expertly handled and showcased fine Italian food at its best. You pay a little more to go to Il Solferino, but it's worth it for such an incredible evening.

Ristorante top nel cuore pulsante di Milano Brera. Eravamo a cena con amici ed abbiamo mangiato e bevuto da Dio. Personale cortese. Cibo e vino ottimi. Consigliatissimo! Esperienza da ripetere

17/12/2024: Ci sono stato a pranzo con la mia fidanzata in questo locale storico in zona porta romana. Una vera osteria con personale molto gentile, bell'accoglienza! Locale molto affollato! piatti della tradizione meneghina veramente buonissimi, ottima presentazione, di qualita' e molto abbondanti! abbiamo scelto risotto alla milanese, piatto unico risotto e cotoletta poi il magutt cioe' polenta e gorgonzola ed infine salame di cioccolato, una delizia! conto che ci sta. Consigliatissimo!
29/11/2024: Cena con amici e colleghi. Locale semplice ed informale, con cucina tipica milanese ed una vasta scelta di vini. Abbiamo condiviso un po’ di antipasti misti, tra i quali segnalare delle polpette davvero ottime. Poi risotto alla milanese, buono, ma non eccezionale, e infine il tiramisù, quello si, da 10. Nel complesso un buon ristorante

31/03/2025: I went to this place on Saturday night, which I didn't know. Classic setting in the sofa room, tables with white tablecloths, wooden sideboards as it seems the traditional Milanese should be. Service with a girl who had lost her smile, zero empathy. And it was just 8 pm... The menu has some hints of dishes for tourists, foreigners. I had the ossobuco with risotto or vice versa: the risotto was canary-colored, al dente but without any flavor while the ossobuco, covered with gremolada (without lemon), was old, overcooked. However, the worst part was that liquid that had ended up in the risotto, a broth I think to revive the dead ossobuco. Embarrassing! Another diner had the Milanese cutlet (elephant ear): a shoe sole is thicker. Terrible breading, not at all crunchy, even moist in some central points. Amateurish! It's hard to leave anything on the plate even when the food is scarce but here it was offensive to present these dishes at the table
29/03/2025: I had dinner with two of my dear friends. Excellent quality food, exceptional service. I highly recommend the place.
