Excellent restaurant; we tried the seasonal menu and it was a wonderful experience. The dishes were beautifully presented, the service was courteous, and the owner, a wonderful host, entertained us after lunch in the cozy dining room with a fireplace... it was a day to remember!

I had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant, opting for the tasting menu. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant. The service, while generally good, could benefit from some improvement. The food, however, was impeccable. The only negative note concerns the wine tasting. First, there was no selection of wines to pair with the dishes on the tasting menu. The selection of local wines was irrelevant and, in my opinion, overpriced for the quality of the wines offered. The tasting of older Brunello vintages also seemed excessively expensive and, perhaps, superfluous. The glasses of wine were too expensive.

13/12/2025: I ordered takeout pizza, and it was really good. A little small, but delicious. It was also difficult to find the pizza menu online; if you're ordering takeout, it might be helpful to have it handy.

Ristorante Macchiascandona

24/02/2026: The Maremma ravioli and wine were good. The other dishes were nothing special. We should have avoided the simple stuffed zucchini for €16.
22/02/2026: The atmosphere is charming, vintage, and elegant, with fresh flowers on the table. Excellent food, including tortelli, artichokes, and main courses. Friendly and welcoming staff.
