An experience of authentic Casentino flavors. The tortelli alla lastra are a real institution, but the appetizers and especially the cured meats were also excellent. The tagliata steak was also very good.

When I return to my Casentino from Florence, where I've lived for almost 30 years, there are 4-5 restaurants where I can't wait to have lunch or dinner, and Sassone is definitely one of them. I've always loved eating at Sassone, even when the menu consisted of the incomparable tortelli alla lastra, cured meats and cheeses, pizza with pecorino cheese, and little else. Now the menu has expanded to include excellent homemade pasta dishes, exceptional grilled meats cooked on the outdoor fireplace, and what about Sassone's panna cotta? Unique, as are the raspberries—real raspberries!!!—that you can enjoy it with. And what about the location and the view? And the little farm? Not just my daughter, but all my friends with children have fallen in love with Sassone. In short, for me and my family, Sassone is the restaurant of the summer of 2025, and I can only say...what are you waiting for? Book!
