The restaurant is beautiful and claims to be looking for a Michelin star, but in fact it is very far from achieving it.
Corrected the rating in the Michelin guide which places it in the Michelin dish category.
What I didn't like:
- Starters excellent quality but too simple i. More found two closed clams on the plate
- first excellent
- second course cod on potatoes with non-existent potatoes and unacceptable fish broth
- sweet ok but purchased
- fork fell under the table and not removed

Quite an elegant environment that has its own style that can already be seen and is linked to fish, but the welcome was not very kind. They made us wait outside in the hall for half an hour and the waiters looked at us very haughtily, perhaps because we were dressed like tourists. After when people started coming, almost all of them with jackets and ties, we understood why perhaps we were out of place. However, like many other restaurants of this class there were also girls looking for attention from boys.
But we were there to eat. So, how to eat no complaints, all quite good, although the prices are more inflated. In short, it's never for an evening but I haven't found anything in mine to want to return to.

Among the best fish restaurants in Rome. Suitable for families, couples and groups of friends. The wine cellar is also exceptional!

Rome is famous for its trattorias... however Sanlorenzo is a serious restaurant. If we wanted to make a car comparison, we could do it with a Porsche... (I didn't say Ferrari... trivial) Top of the range in the quality of the fish, impeccable and local service, wonderful. Well done

Se oltre ad avere una ristorazione di eccellenza con prodotti freschi, preparati con maestria, volete avere anche un servizio di grandissima qualità con personale formato nell’accoglienza e i gestori sempre attenti alla cura dei loro ospiti allora questo è il ristorante giusto.
Situato nel centro di Roma, vicino Via dei Giubbonari, il ristorante offre una magnifica selezione di vini e un menu strepitoso a base di pesce fresco non di allevamento. Consigliati i crudi e per chi lo ama i piatti a base di tartufo bianco.

Il San Lorenzo è un posto del cuore, tutto ciò che si mangia è preparato con estrema attenzione! Il vasetto di antipasto, pesce cotto al vapore è eccellente, anche i pomodorini conditi con olive e basilico sono meravigliosi (sembra un piatto semplice ma dopo averlo provato capirete). Il pane fatto da loro poi è la vera chicca. Superbi i primi, mai scontati e meravigliosi i secondi. Per me a Roma è tra i preferiti e lo consiglierei ogni giorno di più !
