The food was fantastic, although there was little choice compared to the other restaurants, but a "smaller" menu often indicates excellent quality.
The cellar was also very nice and friendly.
The gnocchi with red cabbage cream was simply a dream.

El interior del restaurante es precioso con la madera oscura, libros y poca iluminación. Es un espacio bastante íntimo y romántico. La comida está bien preparada, y el servicio parece lento porque se siente como si cada plato se está creando individualmente, lo que nos gustó. El mejor entrante que tuvimos fue la ‘acciughe ripiene’, seguida de una notable carbonara de atún. Nuestro mejor plato principal fue una "catalana di gamberi" servida con frutas y verduras de temporada, que era una porción deliciosa y generosa. Después de una casa - hecho postre de fruta, crema y galletas, nos tambaleamos en casa sintiéndonos repletos y contentos.

When we come to La Spezia we never fail to eat in this restaurant. The dishes are original and delicious. A very pleasant restaurant in which to have a good time.

We have come to this small place several times, and also on this occasion
we were pampered by an attentive and present waiter....
The quality of the food is excellent, very fresh fish and surprising combinations..

Wow! You’ll see almost all reviews for this place are excellent, but it has changed owners and the reviews are a little dated.
Let me tell you - it’s got even better!
We had the Menu Degustation (tasting menu) which was absolutely delicious, washed down with a reasonably-priced Sardinian white.
Our waiter was a delight, talking us through all the dishes - he was a local from Monterosso - so knew his subject.
This isn’t your usual tourist pesto pasta & Frito misto - this is grown-up food and thoroughly delicious.
The restaurant is down a side street so not obvious as there are no others close. Make the effort… I promise you it will be worth it and a meal to remember!
