Beautiful restaurant typical of Garfagnana

The food is AMAZING! But... The 20-30 euro price range that Google shows isn't correct (unless you only order an appetizer and a first course). The more reasonable range is 30-40 euros. The two of us spent 46 euros each, without dessert. With: an appetizer, a delicious porcini mushroom salad split between two people, two first courses, and then a very good second course split between two people, with two portions of fried porcini mushrooms as a side dish, water and a glass of wine. The place is very nice, the food is very good, and the portions are generous, which is rare and to be appreciated. The prices are fair, except for the water, which costs 4 euros (unheard of), I was truly shocked... The place, the food, and the atmosphere are 5-star, but the 4-euro water is truly offensive; not even at all-you-can-eat restaurants (which focus on drinking) does it cost that much... I'd like to give it 4.5 stars, but unfortunately Google doesn't allow half-ratings, so I'll give it 4 for now, maybe I'll change it later. But 4 euros for water (a human right) is really too much, more for ethics than anything else... Everything else is perfect, 5 stars!

Il Pozzo is a restaurant located a bit out of the way in Pieve Fosciana, but that's why it offers plenty of space. On the (covered) terrace, the tables aren't crammed together. The welcome is warm and friendly, and the dishes are perfectly prepared. We even had real flowers on the table instead of plastic! We were the last guests, but no one looked away; on the contrary, there was plenty of time for a friendly chat. In short, a restaurant to love and remember!

We had a wonderful lunch. The steak tartar was excellent. My wife had potato and beet gnocchi. I had pasta with truffle sauce that was incredible. Good house wine. Nice selection of desserts. Great service.

Al ristorante voglio stare tranquillo, non cenare tra puzza di cani, peli che volano e abbai continui. Siamo ad un ristorante, tra l'altro di ottima qualità, e non in una canile, spero che i proprietari lo capiscano in tempo. Peccato, quindi, perchè cibo e servizio sono ottimi. Spero alla prossima di trovare le cose cambiate.
