Il Porticciolo In Ponza

I'm a critic; I rarely write reviews to praise a place, and even more rarely do I give it top marks. I've been to Il Porticciolo twice in one week. I have to say that everything, absolutely everything, was excellent. First and foremost, the food. The pasta was particularly good, both with seafood and with crab. The latter was probably one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten in my long life as a spoiled glutton. The service was impeccable, the location beautiful with a view of the harbor, and the price was in keeping with the high quality of the place. I can honestly say that in Ponza in 2026, I haven't found an alternative as good and enjoyable, despite the effort I put into searching. My only small criticism: I would have liked a small welcome aperitif.

I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner as a couple. The food is exquisite, with a focus on local ingredients. The service is truly attentive and ready to answer any questions. The setting is beautiful and refined, not to mention the view of the harbor. A truly wonderful experience.

This year, our first time in Ponza and our first time at Il Porticciolo restaurant, where we had an exceptional evening. The food was delicious, simply prepared, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The desserts were beyond delicious. I can't forget my hazelnut semifreddo!!! Seeing the results, we went back a second time and were thrilled. I can't forget Luigina, the owner, who pampered us and treated us truly well. She's a special woman in my heart. And a big hug to Federica!!! I hope to see you again soon!!!!

Luigina is an extraordinary hostess: cheerful, welcoming, and always attentive to detail. She made our evening truly special. The restaurant boasts a splendid location on the Ponza harbor and offers a delightful atmosphere in the evening, with soft lighting and an elegant yet informal setting. From appetizer to dessert, every dish was a pleasant discovery: refined, well-executed, and never overly elaborate. You could sense the quality, passion, and care in every course. It was my first time at this typical Ponza restaurant, and as a Ponza native, I can say I was truly impressed. Luigina's welcome was simply exceptional: she even offered us a bottle of wine during dinner, making us feel right at home. A gesture that truly makes a difference and makes the experience even more special. It was a truly positive discovery, beyond all expectations. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a perfect balance between the taste of the seafood and the spicy note of the chili pepper. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere.
