An evening spent in a neighborhood pizzeria: pleasant staff, adequate menu, very honest price. I recommend it because it's like being in the usual pizzeria in your city.

We had the pleasure of having dinner at this restaurant where the very qualified and friendly staff offered us a meat menu characteristic of the place. Everything excellent and high quality. Try the capocollo bombette and the Angus carpaccio with rocket. A real delight. Excellent value for money.

Location: Cozy atmosphere both outside but especially inside Staff: Kind but above all welcoming (especially when you sit at the table there is a small note where you can comfortably read it while waiting for the water to be brought to you) FOOD… Fresh and delicious food, the meat is top quality especially the "bombette", delicious pizza... let's not forget the bruschetta if they are phenomenal!! I can say that the dessert amazed me because it is not easy to put the right amount of caramel on the panna cotta!!!

Excellent tasting of everything offered in the available menu. Superlative pizzas. To be recommended without hesitation, even if it is not easy to find a place.

Good place to go for excellent pizza. Do not forget the dessert. Baba or Pane Siciliano are great. Caution, there is a shooter of rum in Baba.

We were in this wonderful location on June 13, 2024 for my little sister-in-law's birthday...The weather wasn't very friendly to us but the service, the pizza, the appetizers were simply spectacular...Highly recommended, thank you for everything!!!

Ottima pizza con impasto multicereali ed un tiramisù genuino, cremoso e morbido. Ogni cliente ha una poesia misteriosa dedicata . Personale assai gentile.

Il Poeta Contadino è un luogo accogliente, non grandissimo, ma sempre pieno di gente. Certamente vieni servito da uno staff amichevole, gentile, per nulla scortese, disponibile e preparato. Bellissimo vedere all'entrata il forno a legna, mentre i tavoli fuori ti proiettano in una serata in armonia. Le pizze tra le più buone, in generale, di Matera, per non parlare anche della carne, degli antipasti e di tutto il resto proposto dal menù. Si capisce che non c'è nulla di surgelato. I dolci, poi, tanta scelta e gustosa anche! Aggiungo le alternative di impasti diversi. Prezzi giusti e modici. Ogni volta esco sempre soddisfatta, grazie! ✨

07/08/2024: This is a VERY authentic Italian experience. It’s not touristy, not a gorgeous view, but they cook SO GOOD FOOD! It was soooo delicious, you guys have to try it!
14/07/2024: Historic pizzeria in the historic center of Matera, Il Basilico is now also a restaurant. The place arouses several memories in me, with the welcoming and non-formal atmosphere that distinguishes it. I have always tried the pizzas and this time too I found them good. Prices are absolutely average, despite being in the historic center (Piazza San Francesco d'Assisi, right in front of the beautiful church of the same name).

Essenza il ristorante di Enza Crucinio

22/08/2024: Everything of an exceptional standard. 3 times in 3 years. I hope to return. Quality raw materials, imperial raw materials with excellent seafood experience. Sommelier, attentive, friendly and prepared. His colleague is a little less so.
21/08/2024: Excellent restaurant that courageously emerges from a chorus that always and only navigates between tradition (little) and tourism, without thinking too much about the quality of the dish and offering something new, different. A beautiful experience, a restaurant with attention to detail and the possibility of drinking excellent drinks as well as wines. There are small details that can be improved to adjust the aim a little but in the end they are of little importance and are not strictly necessary. All at one. acceptable price for the quality of both food and drink. Essenza is a virtuous initiative, with the right courage, to which I wish luck in the years to come. We will be back.
