Izzica in Grottaglie is a hidden jewel in the heart of Puglia, a family-run restaurant where the passion for authentic cuisine is perceived in every detail.
From the moment we entered, we were welcomed with great cordiality by the owners and staff, always ready to fulfill our every request with professionalism and kindness.
One aspect that particularly struck us was the transparent approach of the manager, who showed us the fresh products of the day before taking the order.
These are ingredients of the highest quality, strictly local and 0 kilometer, which guarantee unparalleled freshness. Even the homemade bread is a real delight!
The restaurant has few seats, a choice that reflects the authenticity and freshness of the products served, guaranteeing an intimate and refined experience for each guest.
On the menu there are both meat and fish dishes, and after having tried both on the two occasions we were there, we can say with amazement that both the meat and the fish are prepared with techniques and cooking methods worthy of a Michelin star.
Worth noting is the attention to special needs: every request, such as gluten-free options, was accepted without any hesitation.
The kitchen was able to respond promptly, demonstrating great flexibility and care for the customer. The selection of wines, varied and suitable for all budgets, completed the gastronomic experience, making it perfect.
Izzica is not just a restaurant, but a culinary experience that makes you feel at home, while offering quality and care worthy of the best venues.

Già entrando ti rendi conto della passione, la conoscenza dei prodotti e dei vini che Antonio e Miriam mettono nel loro squisito ristorante, una tappa che , merita un viaggio di 400 km/h come ho fatto!
E’stata un’esperienza che parte dai panificati passando a piatti che, certamente valorizzano la Puglia, ma con delicatezza e stupore per l’interpretazione raffinata che solo chi ama il proprio lavoro ha.

We booked an evening with friends. The place appears at first glance as a gastronomy boutique, with the sale of cheeses, cured meats and refined food products, as well as a well-stocked wine shop with national and international labels. Then the room opens to the restaurant, essential furnishings, where modernity and warmth of the rooms mix perfectly. The cuisine exceeds all expectations, zero km products, presentation of the dishes worthy of a starred restaurant. The owner in the room and the staff, very attentive to the customer's needs, we relied on them for the choice of the menu and the pairing of the wines. We were very satisfied, recommended to those who seek new and refined culinary experiences in catering, without neglecting taste, presentation and quality. It will definitely be our first stop as soon as we return to Puglia.
