We were greeted by a lively and polite staff. We enjoyed a brilliant tuna tartare and fantastic pasta dishes with lobster and vongole, topped off with an incredibly delicious tiramisu... Thank you for the wonderful lunch!

At first, this restaurant seems a bit inconspicuous, and you risk walking right past it. However, you should avoid that at all costs, because the selection of fish dishes is simply phenomenal. I had the pasta with lobster and the tuna tartar and can highly recommend it to anyone. The service was also very friendly and attentive. If you enjoy fresh fish, you should definitely stop by this place during your visit to Volterra.

You immediately felt welcome and in good hands, which always makes a visit special. And then came the food! The seafood salad was simply delicious. Fresh, perfectly prepared seafood that left you wanting more. The absolute highlight, however, was the spaghetti carbonara with seafood. This dish was not only a treat for the palate, but also beautifully presented. The combination of the creaminess of the carbonara and the freshness of the seafood was simply heavenly and a true feast for the eyes. Conclusion: Il Peschereccio is a must-visit for anyone in Volterra who wants to enjoy fresh seafood in a genuine, welcoming atmosphere. The quality of the food and excellent service more than make up for the charming patina of the interior.

During the city tour we came across a fish shop completely by accident, as it turned out later, one of the premises is shared with a restaurant, in the first part of the room there is a fish shop open until 19, after that hour you can order dishes in the second part of the room. Fruit can be fresh, large selection, correct flavors. I recommend visiting this place at the end of the tour.

Discovered by chance: first the fish and chips, then the few tables. Just a small lunch of antipasti, tonno tartar, and octopus grigliato, along with a glass of Falanghina each: Wonderful! Friendly service, a good atmosphere in the shop and at the tables. It's a shame (or a good thing?) that we don't live next door!
