Il peschereccio volterra In Volterra

Strolling through the streets of Volterra around lunchtime, we decided to stop at this fishmonger's and eatery, tempted by the menu: hot and cold appetizers (shrimp with cream), snapper with clams and artichokes, spaghetti with clams, mussels, and fried fish... Inside, past the fishmonger's counter, there are a few tables where you can have lunch. The courteous and attentive staff served us memorable dishes. The spaghetti with clams was amazing, the fried calamari and cod was melt-in-your-mouth and just the right amount of salt, and last but not least, the inevitable cantucci (delicious and flavored with orange) with Vin Santo. It was a lunch that made our experience in the enchanting village of Volterra even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

Dining at Il Peschereccio is definitely a fantastic experience! The food, especially the fish, is incredibly fresh and delicious. The restaurant is simple but very clean. We wholeheartedly recommend Il Peschereccio.

Really great rustic fish fry joint. If you are eating in the composed plates are good, but the fish fry is amazing.

A simple yet welcoming place, with tagliatelle with sea amberjack, well-served and plentiful fried calamari, and a house white wine from Cantina Santini, a solid confirmation. Quick service and fresh seafood, as expected.
