07/01/2025: We had lunch on Saturday 4 January with a starter of cured meats accompanied by an excellent Cresamo, followed by stringozzi with bacon and tagliatelle with white Chianina rugù. All great, but next time we will book in advance, because it is always very crowded. Very kind staff and very nice environment. Advised.
06/01/2025: Very well kept place. The staff is very helpful and competent. The restaurant is equipped with a splendid cellar and the dining room staff professionally shows you the various wines. The cuisine is well prepared with an extensive menu. Excellent value for money.

La Locanda del Cardinale

03/01/2025: We stayed at the cardinal's inn located in a historic building in the center of Assisi. The location is very elegant and particular. We opted for the "Incontri" tasting menu paired with a bottle of local wine, a high-level culinary experience, everything exquisite and with attention to the smallest details, even the presentation. The passion of the chefs could be felt in their dishes, I hope they get a Michelin star because they deserve it all. The staff were very kind and professional, careful to satisfy our every little request. At the end of lunch we visited the cellar and the ruins of the palace with the historical mosaics. It was wonderful and I highly recommend it.
